Part 5: The changing

I get one arm free and push it against his chest,

Ben punches me, over and over again,

He has me pinned, I look over to the ground hoping for anything to help me out,

I see something, I don't know what it is but I reach it and smack Ben over the head with it,

When I realized what it was, it was half a skull, but I have no time to worry about the disgusting aspect of the situation,

Ben falls off of me and immediately I get up,

He's up straight away aswell, chasing me,

Then it hit me, nobody was coming to help,

I run, I run as fast as my legs can take me,

I run for my life.

I nearly trip, I put my hands out and immediately spring up,

I grab a tree and pull myself around it quickly, Ben still hot on my trail,

"Guys! Help!!" I scream out of breath, still running like my life depends on it because it just as well might be,

"GUYS!!"

I fall down a hill, tumbling on my way down, it takes Ben down too,

"Thomas!! HELP!! NEWT!!" I scream as loud as I can, hoping someone will hear me,

I see the ending of the treeline,

"Help!!!"

I throw my arms up as I run, back and forth, in a flailing motion, my screams for help don't stop,

Just as I see the boys, Ben grabs my leg,

Tripping me in the process, he's back on top of me but before he can hurt me any further,

"Y/N!?!" Thomas yells,

Him and all the other boys come running over,

Suddenly, newt arrives to my aid and smacks Ben over the head with a gardening shovel,

I immediately pull myself up,

"Hold him down." Gally orders,

Frypan, newt, gally and a few others restrain ben.

Thomas comes over to me,

He has an extreme worried look on his face,

I quickly wrap my arms around him, pulling him in for a tight hug,

"y/n, I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have let you go."

After a minute I pull away,

"It's okay, I'm okay."

We're Interrupted by frypan yelling to me,

"What happened?!"

"I don't know, he just attacked me!" I reply shaken,

A glader that Alby had put in charge comes up from behind us,

"no, no, no." Ben breathes out,

"Lift his shirt."

A huge purple/red mark is on his abdomen,

A few boys let out groans of disgust,

I know what it is now,

"Please, please." Ben cries,

Even he knows what's going to happen,

"He's been stung." Gally outs,

"In the middle of the day?" He continues,

I don't speak, it's not quite my place at the moment,

Thomas moves from my side,

He moves closer to Ben, where the other boys have him restrained,

"Put him in the pit."

Ben starts freaking out as they carry him to the pit,

I stand back,

A few of the boys look at me, But they don't say anything,

Everyone walks away to do what they were before this happened.

Thomas and I go into Alby's hut,

After I've calmed down and gained my composure again,

Thomas asks, "so what happened to him?"

I sigh, "it's called the changing, it's what happens when someone gets stung."
