Tony is a very focused hedgehog. The whole situation begins with experiencing a violent death and then being brought back to life against one's will by one of Sonic's deadliest enemies. He struggles to control his temper, yet he will not hesitate to protect a friend in danger. Tony believes that crime should be punished because Möbius is fundamentally corrupt, and he has personally experienced this corruption many times.
Tony has undergone extensive training in order to achieve the highest level of physical strength possible and he is skilled in various combat techniques using a wide range of weapons, including both traditional and modern high-tech ones. Following his reconciliation with his brother, he has adopted Sonic's approach of using non-violent combat techniques.
