Her thought went back to Demilade that was just a few feet away from her. She had spent good hours thinking about their little drama at the pool. It was so hard for her to concentrate and when she was already concentrating on what she was reading, he appeared filling the room with his scent mixed with his cologne and his presence.

She murmured something to herself as she tried concentrating but was becoming so impossible.

There was silence in the room for a while. Then he heard Lola say something.

"What do you say?" He asked.

And yeah, he was awake. She wondered if he was an alien. She had wanted to confirm if he was asleep. She can tell he was tired. His eyes had bags under them.

"You are still awake. Don't you get tired?" Lola asked.

He didn't answer her question instead he asked. "Is that what you said before?"

"Well, I wanted to confirm if you are still awake," Lola answered, honestly. "I don't know why you are suffering yourself."

"What?" Demilade asked his face contouring into a frown and he sat up on the couch. Not like he was comfortable with it.

Lola was staring at him with a mocking face.

She can tell from his movements that he wasn't so comfortable on the couch. He was just forcing himself. He couldn't even sleep. And she was sure that was why he woke up earlier than usual.

"Stop suffering your body. The bed is open. It can contain four of us. You can sleep on the bed and we won't..... have to touch each other." She said.

              He didn't say anything.

"I think we are mature to do what is right. The bed is big and I am fine if you are thinking it might make me uncomfortable. I will be fine. Just go and sleep on it."

He seems to think about it. "Are you sure?" He asked quietly. And she replied with a nod. He slowly stands up and went over to the bed. Lola just smiled at herself.

Who was he trying to deceive? She thought. She knows he was used to his big bed where he always sleeps alone and he definitely won't be comfortable on a couch that was barely bigger than his body.

Lola read till almost five in the morning. She was already tired and her phone battery was very low and she needed to charge it. She closed the government textbook she had bought from home and went to drop it on the cupboard before going to plug her phone.

She yawned and stretched her hands and leg. She was really sleepy. She was sure she will wake up late. She went to the bed where Demilade was laying on his back at the far left of the bed. The comforter was wrapped around his torso.

He was sleeping peacefully with no sign of frown or frustration on his face. It was actually the first time she was seeing him sleeping closely.

She smiled and climbed on top of the bed gently not to wake him up. But he still did. He stirred awake. He blinked his eyes a couple of times before he finally opened them. He rubbed his eyes and sighed. Then he turned and saw Lola staring at him.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up." She apologized. He looked at her and then he looked at the wall clock on the wall.

"You didn't wake me up. I'm supposed to be awake by now. I guess I must be very tired." He answered with his sleepy husky voice. He yawned and sat up on the bed.

"Okay. Good morning."

"Morning." He replied. "Are you just going to bed?" He asked, surprised. Lola pulled the comforter gently to cover her legs as she lay down.

"Uhmm." She sounded. She saw him look at the time again then back at her.

"I guess the exam must be serious." He said without looking at her.

Sometimes she wondered how he got to remember the things she said. She always thought he will forget about it. But it was sweet and adorable that he doesn't forget.

"Yes. It's been three years since I read any high school book for exams. So I need to prepare." She said and she yawned again. She adjusted the pillow under her head as Demilade watched her.

"Lola." He called.

"Uhmm."

"Maybe we should go out sometime in the day."

"We?"

"Yes. The two of us." He paused. Lola just stared at him. "You have been quite alone since we came here. So maybe we should go somewhere later in the day when you wake up."

She liked the idea. She had truly been lonely. He had avoided her and he won't even make conversation with her. It was nice that he think about her. She appreciates it.

"Okay then." She said and she tried to suppress a smile.

He nodded. "Alright. You should rest." And he climbed down from the bed. He then walked out of the room.

Lola grinned like a child when he left the room. And she thought about how their day would be until she finally fall asleep.
