Let me follow as you skip ahead,
Glowy eyes and a smile wide spread.
Let's breathe in the pretty greens and blues,
And check in on all those tiny mews.
Let's flop down on the grass in a high,
And watch as they soar across the sky.
Call out the unfairness, say you want to fly too,
And I'd sit you down and push you skyward due.
I'd catch your fall and lift you all the higher
'Til the breeze bends the way you desire.
I'd bring you flowers ever so lovely,
And wear the crown you'd probably give me,
I'd wear it with joy as I tackle you to the ground,
Cherishing these lovely times we would've found.
