"Come on, you gotta let me pay you something!" He says, smiling at me
"You are paying me, paying me in a phone number!!" I said
"Fine, but next time I'm paying AND I'm giving you a good tip." He says, as I hand him a pen and a piece of paper, where he writes his phone number, and slides it back to me.
"Awesome, have a great day with your new haircut!" I say as he turns and starts waking away
"Oh wait, one more thing!" I say, as he turns around again
"Yeah?" He asks
"I might need your name for your contact? Unless I make the contact name 'cute boy from work who's hair I cut'???" I say to him
He smiles and his face goes red, "my name is Karl, with a K!" He says
"Okay karl, have a great day, I'll see you soon!" I say, flashing him a quick wink and watching him walk out of the salon.
I finish up the last two hours of my shift, and head home.
I decide to text the number, keeping it simple.

I close my phone, and set it down on top of mg night stand.
I turn on my tv, putting on some more cartoons since it's pretty much all I've thought about all day. I wonder how it will go with Karl.

I finish my bowl of cereal and set it in the sink, rinsing off my dishes when I hear a ding from my phone. I look at it, and see

I open it, and reply quickly.

I go get ready, putting on a simple cute but comfortable outfit after showering.
After a few hours, he texts me that he is down the street, and I step outside, locking my door behind me and see him pull up... in a Tesla...
Cute boy has money?? Okay I see you.. pop off
I get in his car, and smile at him
"hiiiiiiii" I say
"Hey y/n how have you been?" He says
We talk a while in the car, and then pull up to his house.
We go inside, and he shows me around, and then we put on some tv.
We bond over the show, him cracking a few jokes, and then we get in the topic of survivor.
"I love survivor! I used to watch it a lot when I was younger, but I haven't seen a lot of the newer seasons" I say with a smile
"Oh my god. We are going to my room right now. Follow me" he says standing up and walking away
"Wow, take me on a date first" I say, laughing
"Is that not what we're on right now?" He asks
"Oh... true true" I say, and getup, skipping over behind him and following him to his room
Once we walk in, there is a lot to take in-
There's a huge desk with an entire computer gaming set up, a separate desk with a whole- survivor shrine- type of thing.. which was actually kind of cool.
"Oh my god you weren't lying when you said you liked survivor-" I laughed,
"It's my favorite show. That and adventure time, like you knew" he smiles
"Dude, sick set up though, I've been trying to save up for one but that is hella expensive" I said laughing and checking it out
"Yeah, if you want I can help you build your own once you get it!" He says
"That's so cool. How long have you had it?" I ask
"Well this is my new setup, I had an old one for years before this, but I got this one recently, I stream on twitch and stuff so I got a better one" he says, sounding a little shy
"Really? That's so cool. You gotta teach me about computers and stuff, I've always been so interested in them" I smile
We hang out more, and it ends up getting pretty late, after us hanging out for a good 7 hours STRAIGHT.
He offers to take me home, and we pull up in front of my house.
"Thank you again, Karl, I had a super fun time today. Text me!" I say
"I will, I had a great time today too. Thanks for giving me a chance" he smiles
My heart flutters a little.
I smile, and kiss him on the cheek.
"See you soon!" I say, before getting out of his car and going inside my house, noticing him shocked at my last action.
He drives away, and I lay down on the couch, staring at the ceiling, smiling.
Probably the best result I've ever gotten from a haircut, you think?
