"Okay sounds good. I can tell you like your hair so I'll try not to mess it up." I say

"Thank you. Last time I got a haircut I hated it because she just made it SO short I was so mad" he said

"Yeah, I get a lot of people coming to me, saying they regretted their last cut. Kind of a lot of pressure but I usually pull through." I say with a smile

He smiles back, and I grab my spray bottle and spray his hair down with water to comb through it, quickly realizing it was quite knotted.

"You must be a busy man, I don't know how it's possible you managed your hair this knotty!" I say, obviously kidding

"I HONESTLY don't know!! I literally wonder the same thing. It's sooo annoying" he says

"Do you care if i use a hair detangler on your head?" I ask

"Only if it smells good" he says

"Oh my god, you are so in luck." I say, while grabbing the hair detangler that smells like a mix of fruit and bubble gum, holding it up to his nose

"Take a whiff, tell me that isn't amazing" i laugh

"Oh my GOD that is actually so good." He says

We both laugh and I start spraying it into his hair lightly

"It honestly smells like, what I imagine princess bubblegum from adventure time smells like" I giggle

"Oh my god I love adventure time!! I'm gonna smell like princess bubble gum!" He says smiling

"Do you actually? I feel like nobody I know ever wants to geek out and watch cartoons with me because people suck now a days." I say, smiling at him in the mirror

"Dude we might have to become best friends" he says which makes me laugh fairly hard.

We continue talking, laughing and talking about all things from adventure time, to music, to video games.

"Have you ever heard of Fox Academy? They're fairly small" he asks me

"Oh shit! Yeah, they're from here aren't they? I've heard a few of their songs i like them." I said

"My sister is married to one of them." He says

"No way, are you serious? You're kidding." He shakes his head

"Dude now I get to flex I cut the hair of some dude who's sister is married to the guy from fox academy!!" I say, as we both laugh

I turn him around, and face him into the mirror, showing him his final haircut

"What do you think? Be honest with me, it won't hurt my feelings." I say

"Oh my god, I actually really like it!!" He exclaims

"You aren't lying are you?" I said squinting my eyes at him

"Never. I need to come back to you next time I get my hair cut. You did it great and you've been super fun to talk to!" He says

"For sure, I'll ring you up and then I'll give you my number so you can make appointments." I tell him, and then walking him over to the counter

"How much do I owe you?" He asks

"Just a phone number!" I say, smiling

"What?" He asks, confused

"It's free, your haircut is on me. You're a super cool dude! All you owe me is your phone number so I can have more times at work that I get to have interesting conversations like that." I say, smiling at him.
