We finally realized what it was ♡

"Woah! The scores are so high!" I heard Geonu exclaim.

"Really , they are great !" Heeseung hyung exclaimed back.

Really the scores we got in this test were pretty high from the last test ones. The team as well as the individual ones. Along with the scores, the top six were also revealed and I achieved the third position which was a really felicitous moment for me. I was convinced but didn't want to get comfy with the position. Heeseung hyung placed second which I was not really anticipating because I thought he would place first but he looked happy so I was too.

"Yeah !" Hyung exclaimed when his rank was announced. "Hyung, congrats " We both were clapping in excitement as we happily looked at each other.

"You too, hoonie." "Thank hyung."

Actually, one part of the happiness was also that we were placed together ... side by side. A different feeling took over me whenever I raised my head to glance over at our photos on that rank board.

Now, it was time for the first rank and the name was announced,

"Congratulations..." Heeeseung hyung sang as he moved playfully from his seat to congrats K. They both intertwined their hands as they grinned together and the same feeling from the morning came back to me. Gosh, what is wrong with me?

{Heeseung's POV}

I had never thought that the power could be this misfortunate. K being the first rank holder got the power to save the one from elimination but the other one on the list would take his place. So, K saved Jungwon but instead Taki got eliminated. I was happy that Jungwon was saved but seeing Taki going and K blaming himself for it was really heartbreaking.

Though we didn't really connect at first, after practicing the pair parts in the fire together, we had grown quite close to each other. We were finally comfortable with one's company after clearing the misunderstandings between us. 

I tried to comfort him when the four of them were leaving but I knew it wouldn't help much. He truly looked heartbroken and I know how much close he was with Taki. They were literally the father-son duo of i-land.

"I hope Jay comes back." I slightly nudged Sunghoon with my elbow who was too focused on the gate.

"Yeah .. me too and I miss Jake really bad." And here it goes again. The same feeling that I had when I saw Geonu and Sunghoon hugging after the performance was back. My heart tightened in my chest and my eyes were getting blur. 

But thankfully I got distracted," Hyung, I can't wait !" Jungwon entangled his arms in mine. "Me too," I replied back glancing towards Sunghoon who was staring at me with a not-so-happy look but suddenly turned when our eyes met. Why wouldn't he be happy Heeseung, there's no reason for him to be sad right now?

And I came to know about what happened in India. All my Indian readers out there, especially girls I hope you are safe and secured. I hope the victims get justice and the criminals get punished for such a sin they committed. I can't express how I felt when I heard the news.. I pray for all the Indians and every human out there that no one will have to go through such cruelty again.
