My Only Exception

Chapter 2

Grabe. Napakaemotional ng pagtanggap sa akin dito, halatang mahalaga ako ha? Sarkastiko 'yon, please lang.

Naiwan nalang kami ni Tita Avah and Allison sa receiving area.

"Welcome to the house, hija." Si Tita Avah iyon. Nakangisi ito at nakataas ang isang kilay.

"Thanks." Tipid na sagot ko. Walang emosyon.

"You should know your place.... Alam mo dapat kung saan ka lulugar sa bahay na ito ha?" Plastik na ngiti ang ibinigay niya sa akin.

"Alam ko ho ang karapatan ko bilang anak. Hindi niyo ko kailangang iremind palagi, may isip ho ako." Ngumiti ako sa kanila pero naalis naman ang sa kanila. "Where's my room?" Mataray na tanong ko.

"Ma'am, dito ho..." Ang baguhang kasambahay iyon kung hindi ako nagkakamali. Parang kasing edad ko lang siya at ngayon ko lang siya nakita, kaya sigurado akong bago siya.

Iginiya niya ako sa kwarto ko. Himala at sa ikalawang palapag iyon. Akala ko ay sa dati kong silid, ngunit nagkamali ako. Ang kwarto ko ay nasa pinakadulong bahagi ng ikalawang palapag. Di hamak na mas malaki iyon kaysa sa dati kong silid rito. Halata ring ipinarenovate iyon dahil nakadisenyo iyon ayon sa gusto ko. Hindi ko alam kung paano nalaman ng nagdisenyo na ito ang gusto ko.

My room is spacious and pleasing to the eye because the wall is painted with plain caramel white and the curtains are beige in color. The whole room is a photographic and aesthetic in sight. The floor is a wooden finished, but the texture isn't rough yet comfortable to the sole of my feet.

There are some furnitures that complement the design of the room. The greatest highlight of the entire place is the large painting of we bare bears located at the top of my headboard. The painting is enclosed with an elegant and well furnished square designed frame. This gives a pleasing value to the room, it can be seen as something modern and expensive.

After examining some details of my spot, i directly went to my walk-in closet.

It's not that big but not claustrophobic as well. It looks elegant but not so fancy. The cabinets are enclosed with a glass door so everything inside is transparent outside. You can really tell that the owner of this closet is a female because the sides of the cabinets are in pastel pink and the cabinet itself is beige in color.

Napatingin naman ako sa kaliwang bahagi ng walk in closet ko, may vanity rito. The lights attached to the sides of the vanity mirror can be shifted into white, yellowish or dimmed lights. The vanity itself, including the table is pink in color. The chair is metallic but with a soft furry white pillow on back support.

"Ma'am eto ho ang mga gamit niyo." Sabi sa akin ng dalagang kasambahay. Nakita ko ang mga gamit ko roon sa tabi ng kama ko. My bed is good for two persons, and it looks comfy at first sight. The bed looks fluffy because of the large comforters.

"Thank you, anong pangalan mo kasi?" Tanong ko sa kaniya ng nakangiti.

"Marah po." Sabi niya. Nahihiya pa.

"Oh, I'm Valerie. You can call me val kapag tayo lang dalawa. Para kasing mas bata kapa sa akin eh." Sabi ko at tumawa pa.

"Naku, hindi ho.... Edad bente na ho ako." Sabi naman niya.

"Ay, talaga? Hindi naman halata. Bago ka rito?" Tanong ko. Mukhang naaalis na kahit papaano ang hiya niya dahil nangiti siya sa nasabi ko.
