Chapter 8

I was currently putting on some comfortable clothes

I did the dua (supplication) you say before putting on new clothing 

I learned most of the duas I know from Adam. I'm lucky enough to have him as a brother

I walked over to my window and stared out into the sky and I started thinking yesterday kept on replaying in my head

how it is that me and Abdullah got arranged into marrying with out even suggesting each other

God works in mysterious ways 

All I can say is wow

I'm so happy for myself but I can't help but feel sad for my twin brother

I have to find a way to help him get married to the girl he wants to marry

I'm gonna make a plan but that will take time

Right now I'm walking down the stairs I just worked out today I still have to since I got that scholarship for the basketball team but its co-Ed I don't know if I should except or if I will except

I mean I'll only be playing with boys

I don't understand the big deal I wanna play ball so I'll do it

I mean I don't need the full scholarship but I was always against the stereotype that kids with rich parents are spoiled and that their parents always pay for everything

I mean yes I have rich parents but I worked hard for where I am on my own without their financial aid

I've had my share of hardships just like anyone else 

I had a job of my own and the full scholarship I got on my own due to my 4.8 GPA and my Sports skills and I went to a public school. Yeah I know, why would I when I could go to a private school, well I don't belong with people who think their too good for everyone who act like they've never dealt with a hardship in their lives , at the end we should all remember we'll both end up in the same place a grave rich or poor

That's not the kind of place I want to be at, or the kind of person I want to become

I went downstairs and ran to mom when I saw her reading on the couch

When she saw me she looked over at me and smiled

"Oh Aisha I'be been meaning to talk to you for a while now ...well you see there's my friend in Canada and she needs someone to watch her little girl because she's coming to Dubai for a business trip and right now I don't have anyone else to ask so I was wondering if you could maybe postpone your wedding for just 6 months " mom said

Well, I can never say no to mummy she's too damn cute to say no to ...

Yeah I'm not kidding She's actually giving me the puppy dog face right now

"Yes mom, of course, I'll do it" I said

"Oh I love you Aisha thank you, she's in Canada " mom said 

"Okay mummy so when do I have to go''  I asked

"You have to go in one week I'm sorry for the short notice I will tell Abdullah's family that you have to leave so don't worry" said mom

Thank Allah I'm not the one who has to tell them I feel bad already

"Jizakallah umm I'm gonna go  and sleep I feel a little stressed" I said

"Ok, I'll make you some soup.. microwave it and eat it when you wake up"

"Jizakallah ummi" I said while giving her a kiss on the cheek and a side hug

I ran up the stairs and as soon as I got to my room I sat on the bed and started thinking because well I just wanted a stress free life

I went to my closet and toke out my comfy pajamas and put them on

After I felt all the stress leave my body I went over to my bed and got into a comfortable position so I could have a nice relaxing sleep putting my legs inside the cold blanket material my pillow was cold too that's very rare in Dubai but we have air conditioners so I see how I felt the cold air all around, I need a way to sleep faster 

I looked to my right and the table with the lamp right Beside me had my iPhone six plus plugged into the charger

I grabbed it and went to Messenger to see if I had any messages and all I saw was just a message from Adam telling me to have a good night sleep

I smiled and drifted off into sleeo
