"Later, we can't let our personal lives effect our work, Strauss wouldn't put up with it." He says. "I know, I just wanted-" He cuts me off again. "It's not about what you want Edythe. This is a relationship. Do you know what that means? It takes two people, You can't, just pick and choose when we can and can't talk. It can't always be your way. You didn't want to talk this morning. Fine, you chose, and now I'm choosing. We'll talk later. Focus on work." He orders. I don't say anything knowing he's right, doesn't mean it didn't hurt to hear though. He sighs and puts his hand on my cheek for a split second. "I love you, I promise we'll talk when we get a chance." I nod understandingly. "Okay.." He drops his hand and rests it on my hip as. he turns me around to face the team, signaling that I should join them. "Join them, I'll be there momentarily." He states as he heads to his office.
I admit, I've been a little off my rocker lately. I keep having these vivid memories of when I was with my father. Not all days were bad, but I spent my whole life running away from him. He treated everyone around him as inferior, myself included. And he would do it by any needs necessary no matter how he decided to do it. "Edythe-" Emily calls my name and I shake my head, focusing on her. "Hey."
"Are you alright, you seem a little spaced out there." She says cracking a smile. "Oh, yeah. I'm okay, just been thinking a lot. I'm sorry."
"What are you thinking about?" She asks curiously. "Nothing important, just about the move, and Zero, worried about how he's doing in school is all." I lie. She thinks for a minute, she knows I'm lying. She's always been able to tell whenever I've been lying. She doesn't question me though. "I'm sure he's doing great, he seems like a good kid." She chooses to go for the supportive friend type. "He is." I smile. "How's he getting along with Hotch?" She asks crossing her arms over her chest, as she leans against her desk. "They get along well, thankfully. I kind of sprung this onto him last minute. He ran along with it which is a bit shocking and good for the sake of everyone else." I admit. "I'm happy for you, life seems to be finally getting on the right track for us huh?" She states referring to our time together in London, pretending to. be people we aren't. Hiding and lying to those around us for gain of the government. Little does she know, I'm still tortured by my past. No matter what I do with my life, I can't escape it, I can't escape who I am, no matter how hard I try too.
Once we arrive in Missouri we meet up with the sheriff. On the way there we got news on a 3rd victim. The news got there first, this put the town in a panicked stage. "JJ, handle the press, we'll try to set up a public announcement to try to calm the public dow a little bit." Aaron orders. "You got it." JJ walks toward the crowd of people, full of cameras. "How much do you think that's going to help?" The sheriff asks. "Not, sure but it's best if we at least try." Morgan answers for him. "Is there a place we can set up?" Rossi asks, ready to get to work. "Yeah, follow me this way" He guides us to an empty room, we start setting up as Aaron discusses a few things with him. Once he comes back into the room, he orders Morgan and Rossi to go to the crime scene, he and Spencer are heading to look at victimology, and Emily and I have to stay and finish setting up and to call Garcia, to find an update on the latest victims.
"Hey babes! What can I help you with?" Garcia says happily over the phone. "You got an update for us?" I ask as Em sits down putting the phone on speaker. "Yeah, the suits are custom made." She starts. "Do you know-"
"Who made them, of course I do. His name is Andrew finnecan."
"You got an address for just?" Emily continues. "Sending to your phones now." She says. "Thanks, Garcia. Have you found a connection between these guys yet?" Emily asks hopeful. "I'm not sure yet, I'm going to do more digging and get back to you. I'm hoping the latest , uh victim can give me a few clues." She says. "Alright, talk soon." I say and she hangs up. "I think we 'ought to check out the shop." Emily says standing up. "I agree, it's time to have a little chat with Andrew."
