"Fine. When will you start?"

"On Monday."

"Alright. Just be careful dad. Don't stress yourself."

"I will. You too. Don't forget the child of whom you are."

"Yes, dad. Bye."

"Take care, my dear." And he ends the call. She held the phone tightly and folded her hand on her chest staring out at the sea.

It's been two days since they came to the beach house. Helen is so excited and she was very bubbly. Bayo was always with his family or with Demilade discussing what she don't know.

Demilade had been so awkward since the day at the supermarket. She had asked him if there was anything wrong but he had said no. He hardly say anything to her and what made it awkward and worst was that they were in the same room.

They both share the same room in the beach house.

To everyone, she was his girlfriend and it was normal if they stayed in the same room. The only person who seem to notice her discomfort at first was Bayo. He had given her a sympathetic look.

But Demilade is not making the idea any better. He sleeps on the couch and he barely says anything. All he does is make calls or he was either reading a book with an ear pod in his ear or staring at something on his phone. He hardly stays in the room. He came into the room late and leaves early.

She felt a bit lonely. And to prevent questions from the other occupant of the house, she stays in their room. She only leave the room when she wants to go and cook or when it was time to eat. The only time she felt a bit alive was at the table during dinner. Grandma Grace and Bayo keep entertaining them with their stories and jokes. The two were one of a kind. They made sure everyone indulge in the conversation they made. Except for a certain someone.

          Demilade.

It made her wonder how Demilade would have been if he had inherited his grandmother's cheerfulness and easygoing attitude.

But she knows whose character he inherited. It was his mother. The woman is always quiet. She only watches and observes. The only difference was she was nicer and she smiles a lot. Even if that had reduced since she came to visit her son. They were something off about her that she can't pinpoint but she didn't want to meddle. She had known her for a short period so she can tell she wasn't in her usual mood. The only person who was very excited about the vacation was her mother.

The old woman was full of life and energetic.

But it was fun being with them.

Lola bonded with Helen during the vacation. They sat to talk when they are cooking, washing or setting the table. And during some other free time.

In the evening, they take Joan for a stroll and there has a great time together, talking about everything.

On their sixth day at the beach house, Helen decided to show Lola the place where her husband had taken her the previous day. After feeding her daughter, she gave her daughter to the father and she went into the room Lola share with her boyfriend. She knew he wasn't in the room because Demilade had joined Bayo in the game room.

"Hi," Helen said when she entered the room. She looked around the room, it was the first time she was entering their room but she could notice it was the same structure and colour as her room with her husband. It was only some of the materials in it that were different. And the room was filled with a mixture of Lola's and Demilade's smells.
