"Okay"

"Let's make sure everything's healing up fine and you can get out of here."

Bailey checked her abdomen, stomach, chest, and stitches.

"All good, ill talk to Hunt and Torres and see when we can get you home." Bailey smiled and left.

Derek could see that Meredith looked exhausted and stressed.

"You tired?"

"Yes" Meredith sighed

"Go to sleep, you need to rest."

"I love you." Meredith said before closing her eyes and falling fast asleep.

"I love you too." Derek whispered when he saw her fall asleep

Derek watched her sleep for a while, he was scared she might have another brain bleed or suddenly start bleeding from somewhere like last time. After feeling tired himself he walked into an on-call room and fell asleep.

He heard a knock on the door after being asleep for a while, he rubbed his eyes and then got up and answered the door.

"Yes?"

"Merediths asking for you." He heard Alex say through the door

"Okay i'm going."

Derek got up and walked out and into Merediths room. He saw her sitting up and she looked better, she looked happier.

"There you are!" Meredith said with a smile

"Someone's in a good mood." Derek laughed as he walked over and kissed her softly

"They gave me drugs." Meredith said in a very happy voice.

Derek laughed and kissed her again.

"Where are the kids?"

"Amelias watching them at the house. Do you want me to bring them?"

"Yeah, i'm gonna be tired and cranky for a while so bring them in before the drugs wear off."

Derek laughed and then kissed her forehead, he called Amelia once he stepped out of the room.

"Is everything okay?"Amelia immediately asked when she answered

"Yeah, she's in a good mood right now so could you bring the kids?"

"Oh yeah, of course! Let me get them ready and i'll meet you there."

"Thanks."

Derek walked back into the room and saw Meredith and Cristina talking. He waited a bit then walked back in.

"Amelias bringing the kids over now." Derek said as he walked in and sat down next to her

"Thank you." Meredith said with a smile

Cristinas pager went off.

"Why are they paging you?" Derek asked

"I don't know, I don't even work here. I'll be back." Cristina left the room and ran down the hall.

"The drugs wear off yet?" Derek asked

"Nope, but that's a good thing."

"How are you feeling? Be honest."

"When I woke up I felt terrible, but everyone was so happy and I didn't want to worry them so I just held it in I guess."

"Meredith" Derek sad and worried at the same time

"It's okay, i feel better now." she said as she reached for his hand.

"You don't have to hide it, we all want what's best for you."

Meredith nodded and hugged him. Then Amelia and the kids walked in.

"Mommy!" Bailey and Zola both shouted as they ran into Merediths arms.

"I missed you guys!"

Meredith held them tightly and they hugged her back. Bailey was on one side of Meredith and Zola on the other.

Meredith had a cast on her right arm so she couldn't hug Zola.

"Mommy what's on your arm?" Zola asked

"It's a big band-aid, I hurt my arm a little."

"How did you hurt it?" Bailey asked in his baby voice

"I had an accident, but i'm all better now."

The kids played with their toys on Merediths lap and giggled. Meredith played along with them and you could tell Meredith was an amazing mother by how she played with them or even how she talked to them.

After almost an hour of the kids hugging and playing with their mom Derek decided to let Meredith get more rest

"Alright guys I think it's time to let Mommy get some more rest." Derek said as he picked up Bailey and grabbed Zola's hand.

"Bye guys!" Meredith said as Derek took the kids out.

Right after they left Meredith took a deep breath and closed her eyes. She fell asleep almost immediately and Derek dropped the kids off at daycare.

He came back and saw Meredith fast asleep so he went home to take a shower. At the hospital Cristina was paged to a cardio case of a guy with glass in his chest. Maggie and Teddy were working on other traumas that came in so they paged Cristina.

She didn't work there but Bailey gave her privileges. Owen was also on the case which made it super awkward.

"How's Switzerland?" Owen asked while Cristina was working on the patient

"Good."

"I'm glad you're back."

"I'm not, i'm just here for Meredith. You know this." Cristina tried ignoring Owen after she said this.

"I know, I meant it's good to see you."

Cristina didn't say anything because she was still working on the glass in this guys heart. Once the guy was stable she immediately left and went back to Merediths room.

"Page me when you take him up the the OR." She said to one of the nurses as she walked out

She saw her sleeping and laid down on the couch next to her and waited for her to wake up.

"What's wrong?" Meredith mumbled with her eyes still closed

"How did you- nevermind."

"I can see it on your face, what's wrong?" Meredith asked again as she slowly started sitting up

"Owen thinks i'm back and keeps talking to me."

"What's so bad about that?"

"I haven't talked to him since I left, it's weird."

"You're confusing."

"You're one to talk."

Bailey came back in and checked Meredith on Meredith again.

"How are you doing Meredith?"

"Good, just sore."

Derek came back in after going home and kissed Meredith before sitting back down next to her.

"Let me know if it gets worse or if you need anything."

"How's she doing?" Derek asked

"Good, just making sure she doesn't pull anything funny again."

Bailey walked out and grabbed the ultrasound machine to check for any re-bleeds or abnormalities.

Once she started looking at the screen her face looked shocked and confused.

"What's wrong Bailey?" Derek asked after seeing the look on her face

"Bailey?" Meredith asked after Bailey stayed quiet
