• chapter twenty •

after everyone had gone to their own rooms and gone to bed. sapnap laid in his bed and scrolled through twitter.

he was startled by the loud sound of thunder outside. thunder and lightning had always scared sapnap ever since he was little. he pulled the blankets over his chest and listened to music, trying to forget about it. but no matter what he did the loud thunder could always be heard. he knew he would feel safer if he went and sat with one of his friends but he didn't want to disturb anyone.

he decided that it was either go wake someone up or have anxiety all night. he slowly got up out of bed and opened his door. he decided that dream would be the one to most likely let him stay in his room.

he walked down the hallway and stood infront of dreams door. he softly knocked on the wooden door. after getting no response, he slowly pushed the door open. he saw dream in his bed fast asleep.

"d- dream?" sapnap whispered, trying not to startle him.

"huh? sapnap?"

"i- its storming outside and thunder really scares me. is it alright if i s- stay in here for a bit?"

"yeah man, no problem. you can lie down next to me if you'd like! the bed is big enough" dream said as he laid his head back down, falling asleep.

"thank you" sapnap mumbled, knowing dream was already asleep. he softly climbed into bed next to dream and pulled the blanket over him. he closed his eyes and slowly fell asleep in the warm bed.
