A/N Okay, so the rest of the chapters are going to be in Alice's P.O.V. Because Jeremiah's P.O.V is terribly difficult! Enjoy!
My body landed to the floor with a thud, I started wheezing and coughing as I struggle for air. I stood up weakly, expecting the chains to restrain me but it didn't happen because they were shattered into pieces, and all that remains is the ringlets around my ankles along with my wrists. I glanced around for any signs of everyone, very hesitant. I started walking around with bare feet, inspecting the area. I'm alone in a vast field covered in wheat, but the weird thing is not only is the sky purple, but I can't seem to see anything out in the distance of the field. "Woah!" I lost my balance and was falling straight toward a tree. Wait. A tree?
"Gotcha." A pair of arms wrapped around me, recognizing Ranessa's voice I turned around to face her.
"Where are we?" I asked, cringing at how scratchy my throat was. "Where is everyone?"
"I don't know... I think we might be in your head still, but you or someone else doesn't want Jer in here." Ranessa stares at me with a strange expression. "Yo, not to sound weird or anything but your eyes are purple."
"Seems reasonable, I mean my eyes kind of always do match the color of the sky," I muttered but loud enough so she could here me, "Anyways, that tree wasn't here before."
A figure stepped out from behind the tree, "And neither was I," the shadow's voice was angelic, it definitely a belonged to a woman. I start walking back so Ranessa and I are side by side.
Ranessa grabbed my hand and pulled me behind her, "Who are you?" Ranessa didn't waver one bit but her hands were shaking.
The woman emerged from the shadows, surprisingly, when I saw her she was beautiful and I can sense that she wasn't going to harm us. She had long golden hair that reached passed her back and the same honey brown eyes. It was strange though, she had a red hoodie on with leggings and Uggs, like an ordinary teenage girl. I assume Ranessa felt that we were safe also, because her hands relaxed and stopped their quivering.
"Huh, you must be Alice, you have the Eyes of the Sky." She muttered, but only I could hear her.
Ranessa spoke up, "Who are you? I know you are powerful, but my Healer instincts tell me you are not a threat."
Healer? I do not interrupt, knowing that we would talk about this later.
"I am Destiny," The teenager responded quickly, as if she had somewhere to be, "As in, the Destiny, like 'how did Bill Gates become so rich,' Destiny. But specifically, I am here for Alice."
"Me?" I choked out, unable to believe that Destiny came here to see me, it's not as if I'm special or anything.
"Oh, but my dear Alice, you are special." Did she just read my mind? I need to get out of here, quick. However, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't move, I'm frozen in shock. Destiny started walking towards me, I felt Ranessa twitch, Destiny turned her head at Ranessa, "now, now, Rosa, no need to step in front of Alice."
"How do you know my name." It wasn't a question. It was a demand. "My parents and grandfather are the only damned people who know me by that name, not even my brother knows my real name." Ranessa started clenching her fists, knowing that she couldn't fight a powerful person such as her.
"How many times do I have to tell you!" She flew her hands up in the air and started whining like a toddler, "I'm Destiny, I know what happened in the past and watched your parents grow up, and when conceiving birth to twins, she named one of the Rosa."
Wait. Twins?!
"Don't speak of my parents. It's all their fault." Ranessa whispered bitterly, obviously in emotional pain.
"Can someone please tell me what's going on?" I groan, trying to lift the mood.
"Well," Destiny sighs, "you never were a patient one. I came here to give you a gift from all of us."
I raised my blonde eyebrows, "Us?"
"Uh, well yeah. It's from me, Hope, and Fear. Trust me, Fear is not a very easily persuaded person." She exclaimed while twirling her hair. Huh, she is awfully fidgety.
"So how come you look like that? I mean, aren't you supposed to be like super ancient and dressed in robes?" Ranessa questioned, obviously not impressed.
Destiny put her hand on her hip dramatically, "Well, just cause we are thousands of years old doesn't mean we don't stay in style. Anyways, I don't have much time, my job isn't easy you know. So let's get this over and done with, Alice come here." Destiny pointed right next to her, I hesitated a bit, but went anyway.
Ranessa caught my hand, "Wait a minute, what are you-" With the snap of Destiny's fingers Ranessa disappeared, feeling the pressure from my wrist vanish within seconds.
"What did you do to her?" I asked her, scared she had harmed Ranessa.
"I woke her up, though she will remember all of your memories she saw tonight, including meeting me." Destiny pulled at my hand and lead me towards a bench, which had just appeared.
"What do you mean memories? All I remember is Jeremiah and Ranessa being inside my head with me." I questioned her with fear as I sat down, did she mean that they know my past, or did they heard about it?
"Ah, yes, I totally blanked. So even though you don't remember your memories now, you will later, but I guess I can fix that." Destiny waved her long and perfect hands in front of my eyes and started chanting. All of a sudden I relive every memory, it starts flashing before my eyes I sit there as sob escaped my mouth without permission. I straightened my shoulders, and convinced myself not to look weak in such an intimidating person, something hit me just then.
Oh my god... Jeremiah and Ranessa helped me through everything. Although I'm glad they don't know the memory of the fire, there is too much pain, I don't want to be a burden to them. But wait? Why did my hair turn white, I mean I thought I just bleached it with Grammy and it stayed that way...
"Oh, you'll learn that later! Trust me. I am Destiny after all, but really, Alice, I need to go. I just need you to relax while I'll explain everything while giving you this gift." I stood up, ready for what is to come. Destiny put both of her hands to my temples, closed her eyes, and I did the same.
"Alice, I'm giving you the gift of Empathy. This gift gives you the ability to feel others emotions and hidden desires. Though, this gift may cloud your judgment, it will also help in the near future. So please, use this gift wisely, any questions?"
I attempted to think for a moment, but blurted one out before I could think, "After this will I be able to touch Jeremiah?" I immediately regretted it and clamped my hands to my mouth.
Destiny chuckled and wiggled her perfect eyebrows, "A little eager, are we?" With that question I flushed a deep scarlet.
"T-that's what I n-not m-meant! I mean that's not w-what I-" I struggled with trying to answer her.
"Relax, I was only kidding, but yes, you will." Destiny chuckled bout then stopped, she nodded her head slightly, seeming to talk to someone. She glanced at me, "Anyways, I'm done here, see you later!"
"Later?" I didn't get an answer because she disappeared after winking at me. I looked around, already taking in the shimmering of the background.
