"Are you out of your mind!? Did you listen to the Lord at all? Seriously, she's with us with a few minutes and you already fucked up."

Damn, this boy has some anger issues that he needs to take care of.

"Uh, she's here and she'd really like one, thank you." I rolled my eyes and took out one cigarette out of the box.

"See? I'm just trying to be nice, make it less awkward for everybody." He raised his hands in defense and then winked at me.

He's right, this whole situation can't get any more awkward. I must look so pathetic to them, a poor girl who needs triple protection to be safe. But that's not me, not even for a bit. I've been taught to take care of myself, to never need someone by my side. I'm good by myself, I always was.

I put the cigarette into my mouth and the brown haired boy lit it. I've never smoked before, but aunt May is a heavy smoker and when there was no one else in our house, she lit a cigarette almost ten times a day. Now that I think of it, her life is pretty sad.

"Amelie." I said with a strong voice and shook hands with all of them.

"Theo. Theo Nott."

The cute ass.

"Draco. Malfoy."

The mean ass.

"Leon Rookwood."

The shy ass.

We finished smoking and apparated to the nearest village by the school.

"Where are we, again?" I asked and wrapped my arms around my body, because the cold air was starting to be really uncomfortable. We're walking towards the castle on a stone pathway.

"Hogsmeade." Answered Theo without looking at me.

"How far is the castle?" I asked again.

"About 20 minutes walk." Answered Leon.

"Why, are you cold? Here, take my jacket-" said Theo and started undressing his denim jacket.

"I don't want your jacket, I'm fine." I answered and rolled my eyes. I don't want to come off like I need them, because I don't.

We were quiet for the rest of our walk to the castle. I don't usually like awkward silence, but I didn't mind this one. There was just really nothing to talk about.

When we arrived to the school, I was very pleased with how it looks inside. It's everything I've ever expected - big hallways, tall stone walls with old big windows. My father used to talk a lot about Hogwarts and aunt May taught me everything I need to know about its history and everything.

The people, however, weren't so pleased with me. I noticed they gave me those kind of looks while we were walking to the Slytherin common room.

"What's their problem?" I asked Theo and pointed my head at a group of people all looking at us.

"We uh...we're kind of famous here and it's always been the three of us...and now you're here, so I guess..."

"What, your girlfriends never walk with you?" I asked with an amusement in my voice.

"Only Draco has a girlfriend, or at least it looks like he does." Answered Leon and laughed at Draco, who gave him a frowned face.

"What?"

"None of your fucking business." Said Draco and rolled his eyes. Okay, I'm going to stay away from that one.

We walked down the stairs to the entrance of the Slytherin common room. I've already been sorted a week ago in my house. My father invited Snape, who brought the sorting hat with him. He comes to our house a lot.

Before we could enter, a male voice shouted at us and we stopped to see who it is. An old male, who looks like a professor, is walking towards us and waving his hand.

"Professor Slughorn, nice to see you." Greeted him Draco and shook his hand.

"You too, my boys, you too. Oh, and a girl. You are...?"

"Amelie Rid- uh, Amelie Montgomery. I'm new..." I said and tried to smile. My real surname almost slipped through my mouth, what was I thinking!?

Professor Slughorn looked at me and examined my face like he was trying to recognize me from somewhere. Then he shook his head and tried to laugh it off.

"Don't forget to come this Friday, boys. And you too, miss Montgomery, I'd like you to join my club." He said with a smile on his face and left.

"That's unusual..." mumbled Leon.

"Very unusual...he never invites new people throughout the year." Added Theo and looked at me.

"What can I say? I'm charming." I flipped my hair and entered the common room.

It's smaller than I expected, but definitely very beautiful. It's a long, low underground room with stone walls. Round, greenish lamps are hanging on chains from the ceiling. A fire is crackling under an elaborately carved mantelpiece ahead of them, and a few Slytherins are sitting on big velvet green couches. It's very similar to our house. I can get used to this.

"Finally, where have you been!?" Shouted a brown haired girl and ran to Draco into a hug. He was surprised for a bit and then he hugged her back. Theo and Leon exchanged looks.

"Who is she?" She asked when she noticed me.

"I'm Amelie." I said and stretched my arm to shake hers, but she just scoffed and turned to Draco.

What. A. Bitch. She's gonna regret that one day.

"Why did you do that?" Asked her Draco, but I didn't hear the rest, because Theo and Leon took me to the corridor with our rooms.

"So that was-"

"Pansy Parkinson."

"Don't take her too seriously." Added Theo.

"Oh, don't worry, I won't." I assured them.

"So...that's my room-" said Theo and pointed at the first door, "that's Draco's, next to his is Leon's. Yours is next to mine."

I faked a smile and went to my room. My luggage was already there, but I'm not in mood for unpacking yet. It's a nice, middle sized room with an amazing view on a lake from a big window. The bed in the corner looks very comfortable. I'm glad I have this room, I can't imagine sharing a dorm with more people. It would drive me crazy.

After a while of sitting on my bed, I got into unpacking.
