"You are really, the best, Suguru!" she spoke out and Geto Suguru could only watch with a forced smile on his face then as she looked all too happy.

.
.

"I know you have had feelings for me for a long time. But I can't see myself giving you back those feelings you have for me," Gojo spoke out as he looked at [name] who had mustered up the courage to confess to him.

"I'm sorry," he added on as he turned to walk away, and then he patted Geto on the shoulder after he realizes how his best friend was there, giving his shoulder a squeeze.

"I can't lie to her and tell her that I do have feelings for her," he whispered out and Geto nodded his head, understanding that Gojo had put aside his egoistic side and gave a proper turn-down.

Because she was the girl that Geto Suguru was in love with.

"Hey, you alright?" he asked as he walked up to [name] who was trying her best to not cry. He watched as her lips trembled then and he couldn't help it but bring her in closer for a tight hug.

"I'm sorry," he whispered out.

"You knew he didn't like me, right?" she asked and he hesitantly hummed in response then, feeling her body tensing up upon his reply.

"Thank you..." she whispered out and Geto's eyes widened as he lets go of her, bending down as he placed his large hands on either side of her face, wiping away the tears.

"For what?" he whispered out.

"For protecting my heart," she answered with a smile, and Geto couldn't help but feel his heart aching, which soon shattered into pieces with the way her eyes no longer held that bright glint he loved.

"And I know you have feelings for me," she whispered out.

"How did you know?" he asked.

"Satoru told me..." she whispered back and Geto had a slight irk mark on his forehead in regards to how his best friend had exposed his feelings.

"But... I don't want to settle for you just because I can't have him. I don't want you to always be second to him," she whispered out and Geto's eyes widened at what she had said, and he could only chuckle then.

"Then, would you give me the opportunity to court you properly?" he asked, and [name] could only lower her gaze then as she nodded her head a little.

He was all nervous then, Gojo could only watch as his best friend was pacing around the room with a frustrated look on his face. He couldn't help but chuckle at how much his best friend was suffering.

"Sometimes I don't know what she saw in you back then," Geto muttered out and Gojo shrugged his shoulders, and soon pointed to his face.

"Probably because I'm handsome," he pointed out and Geto rolled his eyes in response then as he was waiting patiently for [name] to return home from a mission with Shoko. It had been months ever since he started to properly court her, and he wanted to ask her today.

Whether she would be his girlfriend.

A knock was heard on the door and soon Gojo went to open it, revealing only Shoko standing there. Geto then looked confused, as he waited for patiently for [name] to appear, only to have nobody coming in other than Shoko.

"Where's [name]?" Geto asked and Shoko blinked her eyes a few times and then remembered slightly what [name] had told her earlier on.

"Oh, right. She said she was going to wash up and head to the city for a bit. Something about some last-minute shopping," Shoko answered and Geto blinked his eyes a few times before he took off walking away with the bouquet of roses he had bought.

"Isn't it going to be awkward between you and [name]? If she ends up accepting Suguru," Shoko pointed out and Gojo shook his head then.

"Not at all. We are back to being close friends now," Gojo pointed out.

"That's because you mellowed down on the rejection. If you didn't, I'm sure [name] would hate you to the bones," Shoko pointed out and Gojo chuckled slightly, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Her love isn't suitable for someone like me," he answered, and Shoko shook her head in response.

"Obviously. Her love is too pure, it's too much for someone like you to appreciate it,"

"You are being mean, Shoko,"

"Deal with it,"

.
.

He walked around the city, dressed in his casual clothes. How his eyes darted from side to side, trying to spot the girl of his dreams. He then stood in front of the supermarket, where they would often hang around past midnight.

And then his eyes laid upon her, walking towards the door. He was about to turn and run away, only to have her tugging on his sleeve with ease, and pulling him back. A confused look appearing on her face then.

"Suguru? What are you doing here?" she asked as she noticed the bouquet of roses, and she couldn't help but smile as he presented it to her then.

"O-Oh thought you might need help. But what were you doing out here after a mission? Shouldn't you be resting?" he asked, and [name] laughed as she accepted the bouquet of roses, while he grabbed hold of the bag of groceries from her.

"I needed to get some ingredients for tonight's supper," she pointed out and Geto looked at her confusedly then.

"You are having supper with?" he asked.

"My boyfriend, of course," she said with a smile and Geto stopped walking, trying to comprehend what was going on. Somehow his heart was shattering into pieces once more as he replayed what she had said earlier on.

"You... Have a boyfriend?" he asked, and [name] nodded her head.

"Since when?" he asked once more.

"Since now," she whispered out as she tiptoed, pulling him down and planting a kiss on his lips. His eyes widened slightly before a smile appeared on his lips against the kiss as he held her in place.

"Well, aren't you a teaser," he spoke out and [name] stuck her tongue out at him as her lips curled up into a wide smile then.

"Thank you for being so patient with me all these months, and healing my heart, Suguru. You truly, are the best," she spoke out with a smile and Geto couldn't help but feel his heart pounding hard against his chest as he reached out with his free hand, intertwining his fingers with hers.

"Anything for you," he whispered out.

.
.

He watched from the corner of his eyes, how her lips were curled up into a wide smile as they were sitting on his bed, where their fingers were intertwined. Her eyes glued onto the TV screen as she continued to watch what was being shown.

And he couldn't help but lean over, kissing her on the cheek. She giggled softly as she turned to look at him, planting a kiss on his lips where he wrapped his arms around her waist, tugging her closer.

How he noticed the way her smile was wide, and the bright glint was back in her pair of eyes that he loved so much. He leans in once more, kissing her once again as they soon laid down on the bed, side by side after he had switched off the TV.

Where he looked at her, smiling as they held their hands together tightly.

"I love you, Suguru," she whispered out with a smile and he leans in kissing her on the lips.

"I love you, a whole lot, [name],"

And he looks at her like the first time he had seen her, where he realized what love is. Looking at her as if she was the only one in his world, and that she was everything he wanted.
