“Boo!”

I jumped and spun around, smacking Joseph in his arm harshly. He cackled and tossed his head back, laughing at having scared me once again. He had done this the entire day, jumping around corners and randomly yelling to try and startle me. Ever since we met back up later that day, he’d been scaring Suzie Q and me.

“You’re so immature!” I said, turning back around to face Suzie Q who had been in the middle of trying to show me a dress.

“Must you terrorize every woman you meet?” Caesar asked, glancing at Joseph over his shoulder as he placed a random object from the store down.

“But it’s so funny because it’s so easy!” He said, wrapping his arms around my shoulders. “Y/n jumps so easily!”

“That’s not a good excuse,” I huffed, shrugging his arms off me.

“Oh! What about this one, Y/n?” Suzie Q asked, holding two dresses up. We had agreed on getting something to match to wear for a day, seeing as both of us failed to pack correctly.

“I like it,” I said, grabbing the hem of the dress she held up. Suzie Q peered down at the sizes and frowned. “What’s wrong? Not in your size?”

She huffed and placed them back on the rack. “At this point, I might as well shop in the kid’s section!” I laughed at her and took her hand.

“Relax! I’m sure we'll find something. If we can’t, we can always get a dress, some needle, and thread and I’ll fix it for you,” I smiled. She peered at me with bright blue eyes.

“Okay,” She said, a smile gracing over her features. “Let’s go to the next shop,”

“But Suzie!” Joseph whined, sluggishly trailing after us as the blonde woman dragged us to the next dress store. “We’ve been to like a million stores!”

“You’re overexaggerating, Jojo,” Caesar said, rolling his eyes.

“See, why can’t you be like Caesar?” I said, turning to look over my shoulder with a grin. “He knows women better than you.” The blonde man shot a smirk to the brunette, who blinked stupidly at me.

“I’m the married one!” He suddenly exclaimed, putting his hands on his chest.

“Exactly, so you should know better than anyone,” Suzie Q hummed.

“But Caesar is a playboy!” Joseph said.

“That gives him more experience,” Suzie Q replied, making Joseph yell something at her and for Caesar to burst into laughter. “Oh, look there, Y/n!”

I turned my head to the window of the shop, ignoring the two men behind me with a shake of my head. Two dresses were on the display. One was a beautiful marine blue dress, the straps thin over the shoulders, the length just above the knee, the dress itself was flowing, and it had a white ribbon around the waist, with a blue daisy sewn into the side. The other was a light orange, almost a dark yellow, with similar straps and the same length. It had a black band around the waist with a sunflower sewn to the side.

“Oh, those are beautiful,” I gasped. “Come on, let’s see,” I said, excitedly pulling her inside. She giggled beside me as we quickly entered the store, making a bee-line for the dresses.

“I see those have caught your eye,” A woman said, approaching us. She must have worked there.

“Oh, yes!” Suzie Q squealed, unable to contain her excitement. “May we try them on?”

“Of course!” The woman said, stepping up to remove them from the display. “If they need fitting, I’d be glad to do it for no extra charge.”

Grazie!” Suzie Q said, grabbing my wrist and pulling me to the back of the store to change. Caesar and Joseph hadn’t even seen where we went. She quickly pulled the curtain shut and ordered me to turn so she could unzip the dress I was wearing. We quickly changed, giggling and hissing playful remarks to each other when one of us would bump into each other in the small cubicle.

“So?” I said, straightening the dress. “How do I look?”

Sorprendente!” She gasped, clapping her hands together. “Amazing! Although your waistband needs to be taken in,” She said, grabbing at the excess fabric. “What about me?”

“You look stunning, Suzie,” I smiled.

“Okay!” She said. “Let’s go and show the boys, then get these dresses fixed! We’ll make Joseph pay for them,” She said, winking at me as I laughed. Our laughter continued as she pulled the curtain back and practically hopped out of the room.

Sei bellissima!” The woman exclaimed. “You both look very beautiful!”

“Jojo!” Suzie Q called, rocking back and forth on her heels. A few moments later, both Joseph and Caesar appeared. I watched as both of their faces lit up and as Joseph walked to Suzie Q to compliment her, I felt a gaze on me. I looked up and met a pair of bright lime green eyes. Caesar’s lips were slightly parted, his cheeks tinted pink as he stared at me with wide eyes. I felt my own cheeks redden and quickly looked away.

“Well?” Suzie said, popping up behind me. She grabbed the hem of the dress I was wearing and extended it before twirling me around, making me giggle. “She looks absolutely gorgeous, doesn’t she Caesar?”

The blonde’s cheeks darkened even more and he nodded as he covered his mouth and averted his eyes. “Y-you look stunning, Y/n.” He said shyly.

“Come on, let’s get these fixed,” Suzie Q said, shooting Joseph a smirk before leading me over to where the woman stood by another tailor.

“Suzie, can I ask you something?” I said, looking over at her as the women began to work on our dresses.

“Of course!” She smiled. I glanced back at Caesar, who was in the midst of hitting Joseph, who was snickering at something.

“Is Caesar shy? He sure doesn’t seem like it, but when he saw my dress, he acted like he was,” I said. Suzie giggled and motioned for me to lean closer and I did.

“I think Caesar fancies you,” She said, pulling away with a smug grin.

“H-huh?”

“Oh, don’t act so...oh what’s the word...oblivious! Don’t act so oblivious to the fact that you also think Caesar is cute,” She said.

“I never said that!” I said, my cheeks beginning to heat up. “I-I don’t think Caesar is cute!”

“Believe what you want, Y/n,” She said, turning her head away as she closed her eyes and smiled at the wall.

“Wha-what’s that supposed to mean?” I said. “Suzie! Suzie answer me!”

“I can’t hear lies!” She sung, making me groan in frustration.

“You are infuriating sometimes,” I huffed. She cracked an eye open and glanced at me, a grin crawling on her red lips.

“That’s the fun in it.”
