Unfortunately the pope joined in the frontlines together with the other crusaders the moment they were called into by the kingdom's causing him to join the war, the news about Sysca Holy City downfall would reach his ears a few days from now

With the Pope gone, the Holy City was like a defenseless city as it was easily destroyed by Kaido causing destruction everywhere

At this moment however Anna arrived together with Rebecca, Melfina, Ingrid, and some of the troops inside the now ruined Sysca Holy City

Upon seeing such destruction, all of them gaped in shocked, including the people who saw everything through the projection crystal

Bodies were burning, people were panicking, building were razed, children's were crying, screams were piercing, a perfect pandemonium has been recreated unto the surface of the world and all of it were done only by a single person who grew so strong and merciless to anyone who plotted against him

Among those rubbles Ingrid could clearly see Kaido laughing hysterically on a mountain of corpses as if he just freshly killed them a moment ago

Upon seeing their outfits Ingrid clearly recognized some of them as crusaders, normal soldiers, even civilians were in the mix

From a far point one could see some royal Knight's struggling just to get up on their two feet as they held up they're sword

On the sidenote Kelvin the 5th ranking of the Royal Knight's, had its corpse burning on the background which showed that him with a duty has protected the other knights from the explosion this sacrificing his life for them

Due to that only Nicholas, Mulberry, and Alcreus were left standing as they pointed there weapons towards kaido who was slowly walked on top of this ruins

"Death, betrayal, scheming people, two faced, and murder... I've seen and have done it all, lives are lost everytime so how can your pathetic lives of yours be so much that can affect your country?"

At this moment Kaido was mocking the power of the church as he slowly moved his way into the burning ruins

"You... Don't you dare! The church would never let you get away with this, the whole world will resent you, you will never be accepted as one of us" shouted Nicholas in frustration

"I've already left my humanity a year ago and do you know what it feels?" Asked Kaido

"....."

"It felt great! Hahahaha!" He laughed

At this time black clouds hovered beside Kaido as it started shooting out various black lightning towards his opponent's

Of course Nicholas started putting up a fight as Mulberry and Alcreus passed through him to try finish off Kaido in one fell swoop

As Nicholas dealt with the lightning, Alcreus immediately charged up as he swing his sword overhead of Kaido and brought it down in full force

"Heaven strike!"

At the same time Mulberry tried to restrain his movements by using a some kind of spell

"Holy chain!"

In an instant a huge force suddenly exploded as Alcreus hit the psychic barrier of Kaido in his attack causing him to receive the full recoil of it

"Kuh!"

On that note mulberry came in from the side as she enhanced her weapon repeatedly

"Sword strengthening!"
