It Started With A Lie

Chapter 11

Lindsay's P.O.V

As I finished showering, I heard a knock on the front door. I wrapped my towel around my body and I wrapped one around my hair also before making my way downstairs.
I really don't know who could be knocking at this time even though it's only after 6. I wonder if it's Alicia coming over to keep me company.

Smiling I opened the door and could not believe who's standing there right before my eyes.
I don't know how long stood there staring until he cleared his throat and I looked directly in his eyes. "Hey, uh Lindsay right?" I just stood there and shook my head up and down unable to speak.
"Uh may I come in or maybe you were busy, I'll just come another time sorry" he apologised but I quickly recovered and said, " no, no, noo, I'm sooo very sorry for the way I acted so please, come in" I replied making room for them to come in.

"Sorry but you caught me by complete surprise there, I'm Lindsay" I extend my hand for them to shake. Zayn took my hand and smiled so bright, my breath hitched in my throat. "Sorry for interrupting your shower but I wanted to address what exactly that video was about" Zayn said.
'Shit he saw that damn video' I muttered to myself. "Oh, ok sure but give a minute to change first" I replied then quickly turned on my heel to head upstairs.

"Fuck fuck fuck, he already saw it and now he's here in my fucking living room, right downstairs". I quickly  drop my towel to my ankles and got the first thing my eyes landed on. My favourite yellow dress with sunflower flowers. I hope Zayn likes this dress 'cuz' I low-key put it on for him. I nervously made my way downstairs contemplating on what exactly I wanted to say concerning that video.

I quickly but very carefully ran back upstairs. I need to get myself together and shit before going back down there.  'What am I to say to him about that video?' I quietly asked myself. 'I don't have the slightest idea on what to say omg' I slapped my head. 'Did I have to just blurt out he's my boyfriend'. 'Fuck me'. I said to myself.

I got my phone and texted Alicia quickly saying

 

*Hey boo, I know this sounds ridiculous but um Zayn, yes Zayn Malik is currently sitting on my couch right downstairs and he asked me about that stupid video and I don't know what to say. Come over? I'll explain everything.

Less than five minutes I received a message from Bestie.

Bestie: OMG!! Bitch are you you fr??I'll be there in less than 5. Xoxo.

I felt nervous to go back down there but I gathered courage and made my way down.

"Sorry for the wait, can I get you both anything?" I asked

"Um yeah I'll have some water, two glasses actually, thanks" Zayn replied with his eyes wide while he turn to get a better look at me and looked like he was taken aback when he saw what I had on.

'Ha, just what I wanted his reaction to be like' I thought.

I went into the kitchen got two glasses and poured iced cold water in them then proceeded back to the living room. Zayn got up and took both glasses from my hands and gave one to his bodyguard.
Suddenly I heard a knock on the door. Knowing it's Alicia, I quickly went and opened the door. Greeted by my best friend's wide ass smile and a bear hug, I hugged back and closed the door.

"What's up bitch"? She practically is trying wayyy to hard not to act as nervous as I am but she's looking ridiculous while doing so.

"Hey Alicia, this is Zayn Malik and his bodyguard". "As you may already know Zayn of course" I stated the obvious.
"Oh my God!!!!!! You're the actual real Zayn Malik, sorry but I'm completely shook right now". "Do you know how long my best friend has been dying to meet you" Alicia practically yelled.

Zayn stood up and gave her a hug smiling while doing so.
"It's nice to meet you to, you're one of the girls in that video aren't you" he said.
"Yeah I am actually, I was only standing up for my friend here" she said while hugging me sideways.
"That was nice of you to do that, thanks" he replied.

" Umm sooo, about that video.... I'm truly sorry if I offended you or anything by saying that.... I just got so angry that she said that to the entire school and I just said the first thing that came in mind at the time" I said not looking at him at all, I'm overwhelmed.

"No it's fine really, I don't mind one bit, I uhh actually find you attractive as well" he said.

Wait what?? Did he just say he finds me attractive as well!!! Omfg, this is a dream come true. I looked at my best friend and she had the biggest smile plastered across her face.

"Oh" is all I said. He then asked for my number. We exchanged numbers, he also took Alicia's. He then said he'll text me to get to know me better and I blushed. He then got up and said "we'll keep in contact" then winked at me. His bodyguard got up as well and they both left.

"Oh my God ahhh, what the actual fuck just happened Lin'' my best friend squealed.
"I have no idea myself" I said just as stunned as she is. "I am definitely  NOT getting any sleep tonight for sure though" I continued
"Damn Lin, he likes you this is your dream come true girl" she continued ranting.

"Well I'll stay the night then". I didn't mind one bit, I just smiled. I went to lock the door since my dad won't be back till late tonight.
We went up to bed but I couldn't sleep. I kept twisting and turning but eventually my eyes started feeling heavy. I gave into sleep but not before  those damn brown eyes invaded my dreams of Zayn. My one and only crush.
