The Odd One Out - [l.valdez] (currently discontinued)

𝓲𝓷𝓽𝓻𝓸𝓭𝓾𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷

Tell me, what is it that you think of when someone brings up the idea of a spawn of satan? What is the first mental image or images that come to the front of your mind? Now, what is it that you think of if I were to ask you what you would think of a spawn of Hades, or Pluto? Is your reaction the same? Or is it just a little different? The very idea of someone having a child with rulers or gods of hell or the underworld tend to either bring looks of disgust or chills up one's spine. 

Currently, that we know of, there are two living children of Hades, or Pluto, that we know of. One is of Greek descent, the other, of Roman descent. The Greek, goes by that name of Nico de Angelo. The other, is Hazel Levesque. 

Nico de Angelo is boy that looks as if he tries to carry the world on his shoulders. With dark, almost black rings around his eyes and pale skin, the boy looks almost sickly, but don't let that fool you. You could almost say that Nico is the favored one of the two children of the god of the underworld. 

Hazel Levesque, a girl that was born with a curse yet still wins that hearts of many. Hazel was born in 1928. While it seems as though it would be impossible for a person to live that long, much less a child and have them stay a child, the powers of the greek or roman gods have bent what should and shouldn't be possible many times before. Hazel and her mother moved from the busey city of New Orleans Louisiana, to the cold and harsh weather of Seward, Alaska. Being used by Mother Earth herself as a pawn in the attempt of bringing back a giant to help end the world. 

And through all of this, what if there was a third. A third child of Hades or Pluto that very few knew about. A girl that wasn't what you would think of when someone suggested the idea. That is where Evangeline 'Ava' Rogers comes in. Evangeline is a daughter of Hades and one of the head equestrians at Camp Half-Blood. Evangeline was born under a broken oath that the 'Big Three' had taken back a few years after World War 1. Though, by the looks of it, none of the other two seemed to care about the oath either because Poseidon fathered Perseus 'Percy' Jackson and Zeus fathered both Thalia and Jason Grace. 

When you think of a child of Hades, most wouldn't think of Evangeline. Evangeline is more often than not mistaken for either a child of Apollo or a child of Hermes. With her bright and happy attitude and quick nimble fingers, chicanery and thievery came easy. But, that was also thanks to the Stoll brothers for a little help here and there. Archery was another talent that Evangeline had. Many half-bloods tend to use spears, daggers or swords unless the gift or archery came easily. But, when fighting, Evangeline could use many different weapons but she would always revert back to the gift that her father had given her. It was a tool much like that of Percy Jackson's pen, but Evangeline's was a black Stygian iron ring patterned to look like a snake eating its tail. It either turned into a sword or a  bo staff depending on what way you turned it. 

Being a child of Hades, Evangeline was no stranger to danger and fighting monsters. 

When it nears the peak of winter and the great Percy Jackson goes missing, Evangeline starts to worry. So when Annabeth comes back to camp a few days later with three new half-bloods and Rachel starts spewing prophecies including the queen of the gods herself and one of the only known daughters of hades, Evangeline knows that shit is about to go down.
