Chapter 2

It has now been 8 years and I am now 14 years old Deanna Marple, as of now I was granted my middle name.

"Deanna Arael Marple"

The priest said blessing me with purification water, middle names were traditionally treasured here in Okeara Kingdom. Its either used for someone's blessing or a proof of bond with a certain person. It was a given that granting of a middle name would be the most anticipated but, it was obviously a trivial matter for my parents. At this point I promised myself to not wait for my parents to look at me.

I held Aine's hand and hopped in the royal carriage that had golden decorates on the exterior. Aine was left outside and had a seat next to the coachman.

"to the nearest bookshop please"

"my lady are you sure you are to visit a humble place?"

"mm... yes Aine"

Books were so much like me. They were made just to be stuffed in an old shelf and waited to rot, the owner when finished reading would place it back in the shelf as if an antique. It was such an unreachable dream to expect someone would take special care of a finished book.

That aside.

I couldn't help but think that It was hard to be royal, from when I came out of the Church even noble people had been glancing back and forth at me. To have this much attention had me gone irritated and uncomfortable. Speaking of royals... the other day as I passed my father's quarters, I overheard a conversation that a war would possibly happen in the near future. I wasn't sure if I would be frightened as it would be better to have this Kingdom go into ruins.

"my lady we have arrived"

A bookshop that had many of the few beautiful flowers hanging by the sides of the shop. A sign that was awfully small stood beside the wooden door. It was like a cottage if id describe.

Aine extended a hand as I plopped down the carriage. I stepped in the shop and it was rather vintage.

As if I stepped into another world, this place was where I could surprisingly breathe. As I walked the garnished wooden floor I had the slightest feeling of fascination. A book that had a Royal Palace stamp caught my eye so then to the second floor I went, as I grabbed the book it had the title of...

"The Royal Scriptures"

A book that could be found in the Royal Library was now in my hands. The shop owner could be in trouble if this was exposed.

"how did the shop owner get such authorized book"

"probably because the shop owner is a royal"

"eh?!"

A big figure hovered over me as I looked behind, his voice gave me shivers it was soothing yet rough. He had silver hair just like mine and blue shimmering eyes. Broad shoulders and a long slender physic; he was like straightly out of a novel.

"uhm excuse me could you move aside and not stand in front of me as if your flirting"

"haha... you have such bold words for your age"

"your... the Royal Prince?"

It wasn't just a guess; I was sure this man was of royal blood a relative of mine in short. The silver hair was a solid proof of a Royal, something so unusual can be one of the obvious.

"hm if you would mind... it's really rude to not introduce yourself to another relative"

"Oh? well my apologies, I am first Prince Sane"

"and I am daughter of Duke Christian, Lady Deanna Marple"

The pastel yellow dress I wore fluttered as I bowed down. Though I was curious about the shop and this prince I had only limited time, truly it was unfortunate. Beside me was a small table where I placed down the book. I looked back at Prince Sane and bowed.

"Prince Sane please excuse me"

"huh? oh wait My Lady, please at least choose a book of your fancy"

As the a antique like clock ticked I couldn't help but gaze deeply into the prince's eyes it was truly fascinating how he was polite, I thought royals from the Palace would be more arrogant but as humble as this place is, Prince Sane surely is overflowing with courtesy.

"Prince Sane if ever so I would like to hear more about you and this place"

"hmm, surely please invite me to tea next time My Lady"

I walked to the door as I took another bow, the bells that were decorated on top the door jingled as I opened and closed the door. It left me a smile. And so, afternoon has concluded...
