Once gone, both Frankie and Bambi turned to Stevie who was red in the cheeks. "Stevie?" Bambi cooed.

Turning, they seen that her eyes were watered before she wiped at them, smiling. "I'm fine. Honest. It's expected, their dating of course he was gunna ask her. Can we just not talk about it." Both of them gave a look before nodding. Now wasn't the time to press into the matter.

Instead, Frankie pulled out his notepad, shuffling through the pages. "A couple of months ago, when I was in Paris I drew these two dresses after observing the fashion of the Parisians. " he showed them the pages, holding it up high.

Bambi and Stevie shared a look, "perfect"

Frankie had stayed up all night without the girls knowledge, beginning on their dress, making himself ill. Bambi had sent him a very angry note up to him about ditching her in charms and not to overwork himself. So there she sat, alone in Charms. It wasn't so bad. As term was ending many teachers such as Flitwick allowed them to play games and do their own thing, so she sat with her favourite book open.

She was just getting to her favourite scene when she felt the bench creek when someone sat next to her. Harry smiled as she closed over the book, "what do I owe the pleasure Potter"

"I seen you sat alone so I thought I'd come over and keep you company" he grinned, sitting back into his chair.

Her stomach felt - gushy once he finished. Shocking her that he would even care, she suppose it was a good sign of their friendship. "Well thank you very much." She looked around the room, "everyone talking about the Yule ball"

Harry swallowed a lump in his throat. " Ye - Yeh," chocking, "at least none of them have to dance with an audience," Bambi sent a puzzling look. "The champions, they uh have to open the ball"

She tried, she really did but Bambi had bursted out laughing. She worried Harry would feel offended but he chuckled along beside her, "I'm sorry but do you really have too?"

Nodding, his eyes sparkled with amusement, "Yh, I feel bad for whoever my partner is. I have two left feat"

Bambi chuckle quieten realising what he was saying. He didn't have a partner or at least didn't show it. Before the silence overtook she spoke, "I'm sorry for laughing at you then"

He shock his head, "Don't you have a nice laugh." Her breath caught in her throat as Harry's eyes widened.  As little as the compliment was, Bambi Heart swelled over, beating faster. Silent overruled, processing what she had heard. Before either one could say anything, the bell rang out, the clattering of desk moving distracting them.

Pulling her bag over her shoulder, they stood, Harry friends calling him over. She smiled, "I er better get going, Stevie mum sent in a new batch of Muffins and Stevie will eat them all if I'm not back soon enough. He chucked, walking with her to the door where Hermione and Ron waited for him. Saying their goodbye, the two went their separate ways and rounding the corner, Bambi threw her back against the wall. Sighing, she began to steady her heart.

"Who is even gunna ask me. The three of us have no dates and all the good ones are going" Stevie sighed leaning her head against the table.

Frankie was too engrossed in his notepad, scribbling away while Bambi was lost in thought. Reacting the scene from Charms in her head. When she told Stevie and Frankie, they began teasing her that she was feeling the hots for Potter. Denying it Bambi had heated herself over the scene over and over again. She couldn't have feeling for Harry. They had only just become friends and even at that they didn't know that much about each other.  She wondered tho, why did her heart beat louder when he was near? Why did she turn into an awkward mess when they spoke? Shaking her head, Bambi turned to Stevie.

"This Yule ball is turning into a disaster," just as she spoke she eyed Harry walking into the great hall with Ron. Again, why were her hands getting sweaty? However, Stevie's eyes were on someone else as she banged on Bambi arm. Turning around she seen Dimo stopping at their table, grinning straight at her.

"Good afternoon Bambi and friends," Stevie waved while Frankie merely grunted not looking up, " I was wondering if I could speak to you for a moment"

Bambi, clueless, agreed standing up, following him to an empty space on the table. If she had looked back, Bambi would have seen Stevie, punching Frankie to look, excitement spread across her face. However, she would have not only missed that but Harry watching, a frown on his face.

Harry P. O. V

When Harry had walked in, his eyes had gone straight to the Hufflepuff table, looking for a certain curly hair girl. Once spotting her, he began questioning in his mind what was going on between them. Friendship was blooming but whenever she was near Harry felt near sick. When he compliment in Charm he had meant it. She had a beautiful laugh and smile, it had just shocked him that he actually said it.

"I'm telling you Harry, all the good ones are going." Ron slumped into the bench, stacking his plate. Noticing his friend hadn't responded he turned watching as he smiled over to Bambi who in returned wave. This new girl he never really notice before, was a catching the eye of his best friend. "Earth to Harry" Harry snapped out of his daze turning to Ron who shook his head, "Why don't you go ask her," he waved his chicken leg over to Bambi.

Harry sighed. He wanted to, he really did. Bambi was the only girl he had thought of when McGonagall told him he needed a date. Truthfully, Harry had only been thinking about that. Nearly in Charm had he followed though, but his nerves got the better.  "C'mon Harry, you've defeated Dragons and what not, a simple girl is not going to be too hard surly"

Harry gave a look before standing up. "Okay, fine." What was he thinking. She was going to say no. They were friends. Heck they couldn't even hold a conversation together without him messing it up. But before Harry could shut his mind off, turning around he watched as a Durmstrung boy pulled Bambi out of her seat.

Bambi smile grey when Dimo finished his speech. Silent for a moment, she said yes, wrapping her arms around his head, embracing him. Dimo smiled, hugging her back before he walked out the Great Hall. Returning to her seat, she watched as Bambi waved her arms about cheering. Before she could even explain what he had said, Bambi looked over hearing another girl cheer.

Over by the Gryffindor bench, Harry had just asked Padma Patil to the ball.

Her heart sank deep to the ground.
