Yes this is a soulmate story but they dated even before they knew soulmates existed, they were very young you see. Until he got "tired" of her, he broke up with her as if she was his playdate.

"Get your hands of my girl." A voice from behind them called out, Hyunjin's grin now left his face, and now turned into a serious stoic expression turning behind to the owner of the voice.
"Ah~I'm sorry sir but you must be mistaken, this is my-" Before Hyunjin could even continue, Mark threw a punch across his face which Hyunjin stumbling back. Areum covered her mouth that was hanging wide open.
Mark didn't hesitate and grabbed their bags and Areum's hand, walking away from him. He stopped when they reached his car. He immediately placed their things in the back trunk, pushing Areum into the passenger's seat as he went to his.
His loud slamming of the car door made her flinch, taking a peek to his angry self and looking back. He didn't drive off, instead he closed his eyes, trying to contain his anger, or is it jealousy?
His eyes immediately opened when he felt contact in between his fingers. He looked over to his right, Areum giving him her positive smile as she interlock their fingers. His eyes softened, knowing he shouldn't hold such a grudge.
He reached over to her, placing his right thumb on her cheek, softly caressing it before placing his lips on it. Making her heart beat a million times faster as he turned back and started to drive off.
At the red light, he leant to her and kissing her lips this time before giddishly turning back, Areum only felt her cheeks heat up as she touched them. The buzz on his phone broke his smile. He took it out to check his messages, smile turning upside down this time.

Mark sighed before switching his phone off. Mark pulled up in front of Areum's house,walking her to the doorstep. "You sure you don't want to stay for dinner?" Areum's mom asked raising her eyebrow with a smile.
"No thank you Mrs. Lee, I have places to be." He gave her a reassuring smile, bidding her goodbye and pecking the side of Areum's cheek before he set off.
