"Thank you so much, Lola." She appreciated it as she moved into the kitchen. She went over to her side to quickly take the broom and packer away from her. "I will do this."

"It is nothing. How is your body?"

"It's better now. The medicine worked. I'm so grateful you helped me."

"Don't mind that." And she bends down to sweep the broken plates.

"Common leave it. You hurt your finger?" Deborah asked as she saw her plastered hand.

Lola paused looking at her plastered finger before she nodded. "Yes. It was an accident. Thank you." She said as she leave the broom for Deborah. Deborah had done well to remind her about what just transpired between her and Demilade. The finger incident had been the thing that prompt the kiss.

She closed her eyes and she cursed herself for having no self-control and being so smitten.

"Lola?" Deborah called. She jerk her eyes open and looked at her waking her from her reverie.

"Yes."

"Are you okay? Does it hurt?" She asked, concerned.

"No no." She retorted shaking her head.

"Okay. You should go and see your boyfriend's family."

"Uhn." She had totally forgotten about that.

"You don't have to worry. There are nice women. Mrs Grace is actually very funny and lively. As long as she likes you." Lola furrowed her brow at that. "Common go." Lola chuckles. "Who won't like you?"

        And they both chuckle.

"Stop flattering me."

"I'm not. Good luck."

"I will need that," Lola replied and she left the kitchen.

She exhaled deeply when she was out of the kitchen. She was so nervous and she tried to calm her pulse. She knew there wasn't enough time for her to go up to change her clothes. She had spent more than enough time in the kitchen.

She heard laughter coming from the sitting room and she looked at her dress. It was still okay and presentable. She was in a green polo and a short. Anyone who sees her will know she is at home. She thought.

"Where is Lola?" Mrs Jolaoluwa asked from the living room.

There was a minute silence before Demilade answered.

"She is in the kitchen." She heard him say.

She decided to go there before Demilade will have to come to get her himself. She sighed one more time before she walked to the living room. Just as she thought, Demilade was about to come to call her.

Their eyes meet before she breaks the contact.

Demilade seems a bit disappointed but he didn't let it show and he turned back to his family. "She is here."

She looked away from him and went over to the woman.

"Good afternoon ma." She greeted them going on her knees.

"Oh, my dear. Tiwalola." Mrs Jolaoluwa said with her usual smile. "How are you doing?"

"I'm good ma. How are you too ma? And how is work?" She asked.

"It is going well." She replied.

Demilade came to stand beside her.

"Lola this is my grandmother. Grams here is Tiwalola, my girlfriend." He introduced them with a smile on his face.
