Rina chuckled at the girl, pitying Astrid at the back of her mind.
"Let's go to the store. There's one near here," Gray threw her wallet at the eldest before grabbing her car keys.
"I thought you said there's one near here? Why are you grabbing your keys?" Astrid shook off all the flour on her, coughing at the process.
"We're grabbing quite a lot of stuff, we can't carry it walking home," She answered, already stepping outside.
Rina just shrugged and followed the girl to the car. Astrid fixed herself once more, trying to look like a person and not a drug dealer.
"-trid!" She heard Gray yell.
"Coming! Geez,"
Her feet clumsily made its way to the vehicle, almost tripping on the car door. To avoid more embarrassment, she slumped back to the passenger seat.
"Chocolate chips, milk, potato crisps, drinks," The driver hummed under her breath, making a mental list of what to buy.
"What the hell is a potato crisp? It's potato chips," Rina rubbed her arm out of habit.
"Don't start," Astrid stopped the two from fighting as she saw Gray getting ready to shout back.
The soft sound of the radio filled the car. The atmosphere was not tense at all, it was comfortable. Soft breaths, feet tapping, humming, it was calm.
"We're here," Gray opened the door with the two other following her actions.
"Just grab whatever you need. Take a basket so you won't have to hold it," the girl twirled her hair while looking at her wallet.
"I'm only getting chocolate chips tho-"
"No. Get something else,"
"Okay,"
Astrid hesitantly grabbed a basket, hanging it onto her arm. Looking around trying to find her precious chocolate chips when she suddenly bumped into a person.
"Oh my- I'm so sorry, here," She crouched down, picking up the stuff the person dropped.
She looked up, locking eyes with the boy. Pretty brown eyes, dark natural hair, soft smile spread on his lips, ivory skin.
"Don't worry about it," he spoke in an unexpected deep voice, helping Astrid pick up the stuff.
The girl awkwardly stood up, fumbling with her shirt.
"I'm sorry," she said once again. The boy chuckled, shaking his head.
"No need to be sorry-".
"Jaem!"
The boy turned around abruptly. Astrid assumed that it was his name.
Another boy came into the aisle, much taller than the boy she just met. No trace of positive energy from this person, at all. Poker face, cold eyes, muscular build-
Wait what?
"Oh, I'm Jaemin by the way." he introduced once he noticed the tense girl.
"Astrid," she smiled slightly.
"When will you stop flirting? Come on, Jeno needs a hand," she heard the taller boy whisper.
"I hope I can see you again!" Jaemin yelled since the boy dragged him, heading to the toy aisle.
Astrid laughed to herself, weirded out by the sudden encounter. Focusing back to what she's supposed to get, she grabbed a few packs of the chips along with her favorite snacks.
She hummed in satisfaction, going to where they were supposed to meet up.
She spotted Rina with a half filled basket waiting patiently. She waved her hand and went closer.
"Where's Gray?" The younger girl asked, looking for her friend.
"Here. I'm here," a voice was heard from behind.
Astrid turned around, revealing a girl with a full basket, struggling to hold it. Gray smiled her signature grin.
Rina rolled her eyes and went up to the queue, taking Astrid's basket.
Gray pouted slightly and pushed her way to the older, giving her wallet and walking away, letting Rina pay for their stuff.
Astrid held Gray's arms and dragged her to the exit, to avoid crowding the area.
Rina exited with three bags on hand, the girls immediately helping their friend.
"Why would we need succulents at a sleepover?"
