chapter eight

Hunger woke Jimin up from his deep and comfortable slumber. He tried to open his eyes but was then dazzled by a bright light in the ceiling, forcing him to close his eyes again. A pang of pain all over his body made him wince as he attempted to get himself off the bed. It was probably the slamming of the strong waves on to his body from before, finally taking effect.

He tried once again but Jungkook; who was sitting on a chair beside his bed, suddenly stood up, startling him.

"Jimin--- uhm, I mean, Sir! Don't get up. Y-you're uhm, nak... shit. uhm, you're naked!"

"WHAT?!" Jimin exclaimed. He knew he wasn't wearing anything on top since this morning when he was on the sea, so he figured Jungkook wouldn't be awkward about it now since he'd already seen it anyway. If that was the case, then he probably was referring to... he looked inside the sheet covering his lower body, and damn it. His blood rose to his cheeks, and he felt embarrassment creeping on his system. He bowed his head and didn't dare meet Jungkook's eyes. He wasn't wearing anything down! Not even a boxer! Fuck! He's totally naked!

Jungkook felt guilty when he saw Jimin's red face but couldn't help but blush as well, remembering what he did a while ago. He wanted to dress him but gave up when he couldn't manage the fast thumping of his heart anymore. The mixture of shame, nervousness, and unexplainable desire was too strong, he opts to leave him that way and just made sure he'll stay warm under the blanket. He came back after he calmed down and sat on a wooden chair beside the bed. He didn't notice time passing as he watched Jimin's sleeping form, looking like the angel he is, and fell asleep too.

"I'm sorry, Sir. I didn't want you to sleep with your clothes all wet so... I took it all off and turned on the heater instead. But don't worry! You don't have to be upset. I didn't see anything nor tried to touch you in a way too inappropriate. Look, you're all covered with the comforter..." he explained despite the clogging on his throat. His breathing, anxious.

Jimin finally looked at Jungkook, understanding the reason why he did that. He set his embarrassment aside and watched Jungkook's sheepish expressions.

"You're all red," he muttered before he could stop himself.

Jungkook glanced at him and said, "And so are you."

Jimin just chuckled and pointed his suitcase, indirectly telling Jungkook to bring it to him. The man immediately understood, so he went to get it. Jimin got himself clothes to wear and raised his brow at Jungkook.

"What?" The younger man asked, confused by Jimin's gestures and expressions.

"Go out or you could stay if you don't mind watching me..." he trailed as he indicated his body.

"I'LL LEAVE!!!" Jungkook frantically raised his hand and ran out of the room. His steps echoed, mixing on the sound of Jimin's laughter.

'He's really cute,' Jimin thought.

Once done, Jimin called Jungkook so they could have their dinner. Jimin didn't want to go out so Jungkook chose to get their food delivered to his room.

"I'm thinking of quitting." Jungkook broke the silence, followed by utensils falling, but it wasn't Jungkook's.

"W-why?" Jimin struggled to say as he picked up what he dropped. Jungkook's brows furrowed as he watched Jimin. Was that sadness that he saw in his eyes? Did he misunderstand?

Jungkook pushed himself off the chair and went to get a new spoon and fork for Jimin to use. As soon as he came back, he answered, "I mean, quitting my work in the restaurant."

He saw relief reflected on his eyes and he couldn't help but wonder why Jimin felt that way. Is he already comfortable with him? Does he want Jungkook to work for him? Or does that mean something else and he was just assuming?

"Oh. I thought you want to stop working for me. That scared me." A smile appeared on his face, making him a lot more adorable on Jungkook's eyes.

"That'd be better. I was about to ask you to do it anyway, that way you'd solely work for me. I'd be staying here for good, just so you know."
