"Momentarily blinded"

Yesterday I saw you
The same laughter and handsomeness
You turned your head about in twilight
Searching for my existence.....

You lurked around my puzzled muscles
As I returned a twitching smile
Nervous as your sprinted closer
Never once wavered the eyes......

Next fingers turned keys
You locked your much larger ones with mine
We rushed into a paddy field
Rooting for a nap under the starlight
Frequent skips and pacing beats
With no rhythm to rhyme....

Alas! My pupils dilated with conscience
I fell again
For the crafted works of the devilish mind
Toying feels with a grinning backstab
Tearing through a desolated heart....

I woke up to a draped void
Realizing the pain of this unrequited love
Thoughts of you forever stuck
Still as blue as it ever was.....
