" Will you remember me ? " he casually asked with a questioning look .
" Huum ... let me think " I babbled with my palm under my chin
Staring at nothing pretending to be thinking
He pushed my shoulder punching softly seemingly offended
I giggle first and he followed .
After a brief moment of sudden awkwardness he blurted reality saying
" So , It's goodbye then "
" Yup " is how I replied .
Both our lips curled up but nothing seemed funny anymore .
From a distance I called for him again
" Hey ! Wait "
A puzzled " What ? " came
Hint of expectation not unnoticed in his tone .
To which I said " How about a couple more minutes ?? "
" Sure " he added stumbling on the alphabets .
But the appearance of a car nullified his assurance .
From the other side of the narrow street his parents appeared impatient with their await .
It commenced with a " Seems like I gotta go "
" Yeah ! Well ....see ya soon " false hope
And we waved for the very last time .
The vehicle slowly disappeared into distance .
I turned about and sighed .
