i stood guard outside the lake house with ahsoka and the clones.
although the war was over, it doesn't mean trouble still wasn't out there.
we just wanted to make sure padmé and the children were as safe as possible. they were our priority for now.
"you find it insane that anakin's a father too, right?"
ahsoka nodded, laughing a bit. "more than you could ever imagine."
"you've known him longer than i have. any insight from what he could possibly do from here now that the war is over?"
she shook her head. "i don't, but remember, we're supposed to be the keepers of the peace, not warriors. the war has made the jedi the very opposite of that."
"i completely agree. it's just-"
before we could continue the conversation, anakin stepped out of the house.
"you two planning on staying out here all night?" he asked.
"If that means extra protection for your wife and children, then yes." ahsoka replied as i nodded along with her.
"wow, i really did train you two well." he turned towards me. "mind if i steal ada away for a bit?"
"by all means, i'm sure the boys and i can hold down the fort."
"i can send out obi-wan if you want."
"we got this master. you clearly forgot who you trained." ahsoka replied.
"indeed i must've."
he motioned for me to follow him inside the house.
"i saw your face when you entered the room to meet the twins. you sensed it too, huh?"
"how strong with the force they are? yes, i did."
"they'll make amazing jedi one day."
"you and padmé have decided?"
he shrugged. "we haven't fully decided. but they're barely out of the womb and have a strong connection with so force so we may have to."
"i'm sure master yoda will allow for them to be trained outside the temple if that's what you two are worried about."
"that maybe so, but that wouldn't be fair to the other younglings who leave their parents at a young age."
"well yes, but luke and leia are not like any other younglings incase you haven't noticed."
"i'm biased ada, but of course i have." he chuckled. "god, padmé and i are so in love with them."
"you two will make amazing parents." i smile at him.
"thank you, but we all know how i can be with younglings." he chuckled.
"i think it'll be different with your own children anakin." i tell him. "plus, if they turn out anything like ahsoka and i, you'll be fine."
