Riya's viewpoint :

"Riya.." I heard Abhay call out for me and turned around to face him.

"Yes, Abhay?" I questioned before getting inside my car.

"This is your birthday present from me." He smiled while offering me a paper bag.

"Present? You've already done so much Abhay, I can't take this." I refused politely.

"Please Riya, I'll feel happy if you accept this." He smiled again.

Ah, that smile. How could I have said a no to it?

I blushed to myself while bringing the diamond pendant closer towards me and looked at it for a few minutes.

So Abhay really did buy this and gifted it to me before we left for our homes after shopping. I had just brushed it off after trying it but he secretly took it. Gosh, he's such a sweetheart.

Him being the person gifting me this pendant has made it much more special.

I've decided on wearing this in the engagement ceremony today. I'm sure Abhay will feel contended on it seeing it wrapped around my neckline.

The event is starting at daytime itself so I must get ready now. I quickly took a shower before getting dressed up in the lehenga I bought the other day.

After applying makeup, wearing my favourite perfume and complimenting accessories, I left for the venue.

"There she is!" I heard Ishan exclaim on seeing me, just as I reached the open banquet entrance.

As soon as the words escaped his mouth, Abhay turned around and looked at me. Damn that gaze of his, its really making my heart flutter.

Also, he's slaying so effortlessly in that sherwani of his. He's really blessed with perfect looks and the best personality.

"Hey." Abhay's lips formed a curve as he greeted me.

"Hi." I smiled at him.

"This pendant... it looks so mesmerizing on you." He complimented me with an awestruck look on his face.

"Thanks Abhay." I slightly blushed.

"I was waiting for you." He lightly grinned at me.

"Am I late?" I asked in response while looking around.

As of now, I don't see much crowd here. I guess I'm not that late that the engagement has ended and everyone left already.

"No, you're quite early. It's just that, I kinda missed you." Abhay replied, making me blush again.

"We're seeing each other so much recently and yet you miss me?" I teased him.

"That's the reason. I've kinda become habituated to your presence." He laughed it out.

"You're good at flirting." I chuckled along.

"Good? I'm the best, baby." He winked at me, almost making my heart jump out of my chest.

"Anyway, come I'll get you a mocktail." He added offering.

While we were making our way towards the cocktail counter, I heard a cameraperson calling out for us.
