I felt a warm and cupping my cheek gently stroking it. I squeezed my eyes shut confused before opening them slightly to look up to none other than Trey. His small smile disappeared when I pushed myself away from him.

He tried reaching for me but I flinched away from him. I was having a brain overload. It suddenly occurred to me that I had gotten touchy feely with someone six and a bit years older than me and I enjoyed it. Next I will be begging him to talk my virginity.

"You're twenty four."  I said still processing it.

He fell back onto the bed pissing himself laughing.

"What's so funny?" I asked.

He sat up breathing hard trying to calm himself down.

"I just transformed into a giant wolf and you're worried about my age." He said trying to compose himself.

"So us getting touchy feely meant nothing then?" I asked my heart sinking slightly.

He smiled at me a genuine smile.

"Oh course it means something you silly girl come here." He said reaching for me for a second time.

I hesitated but my body couldn't deny him any longer as I crawled into his lap. I hated that I reacted this way around Trey it made me so vulnerable.

"It means everything to me." He said quietly.

There was so much I had yet to know. I decided to let what he said go for a while as I got onto more important matters.

"You're a wolf." I said quietly as if it was a secret.

Trey gently stroked my hair back so it was out of my face.

"That's what I've wanted to tell you since I met you." He said softly.

My head lay against his chest breathing in his intoxicating smell.

"Will you explain it to me?" I asked closing my eyes as his hand massaged my scalp.

A moan left my lips before I could stop myself.

"Does that feel good?" He asked in a slightly teasing tone.

I let out a small whimper in response as Trey pulled his hand away from my head.

"Perhaps I should tell you about werewolves now." He suggested getting comfortable.

He was quite for some moment, I think he was deciding where to start. I played with his hand that lay on my rib cage while I waited. It felt as if we were a couple sitting like this. I know it wasn't right but it felt right even though I'd hate to admit that.

"Werewolves have been around for centuries and like wolves we live in packs." He said stating the obvious.

"I decent from a pure blood line of royal wolves meaning when my father steps down I will not only be alpha of the tri state area but I could also be considered for the reign of the king of wolves if the royal board sees fit." He explained.

He sounded like he was going to be crazy busy when all of this gets loaded off onto him.

"My father has chosen to step down at the end of this season which is in a few weeks but by then I have to have claimed a mate." He told me.

"Why doesn't Rick just take the place as Alpha?" I asked looking up into Trey's eyes.

He smiled down at me.

"He got offered my uncle's pack out in the western territory because my uncle was suffering from an uncommon illness which got more aggressive by running a pack and at the time I hadn't found my mate and he had." He explained to me.
