One week later
I hear my phone buzzing and search around the bed for it with my head still under the blanket. I feel Nadei lay the phone in my hand as he laughs at me struggling.

"Who the hell is this and why are you calling me so fucking early!"

"Wow is that anyway to talk to me babygirl?"

I immediately jump up in bed and Nadei stares at me wondering what the hell is going on.

"Oh my god GITANA!!!!" I bounce up and down on the bed as I haven't heard from her in so damn long.

"Morning gorgeous sorry for the early wake-up call but seems I'm landing in New York in a couple of hours so I figured maybe you want to come pick me up..."

"Oh.....oh well shit. Um....yeah, tell me where I'll have my driver take me."

"Driver? Bitch last I called you barely had the money for a bus ride"

"Yeah, we have a lot to catch up on. Text me love you see you soon!"

"Love you too girl bye"

How do I explain Veronica to Nadei?

"Baby? Who was that?"

"Oh.....so...Ummmmm. Have you had coffee yet?"

Nadei picks up his cup from his nightstand and smiles. Well, at least he's had his coffee so he shouldn't be too grumpy.

"Right well....ok fuck it. I mean you're my fiancé now right? So gotta deal with my bullshit at this point. Anyways....remember how you know I'm....well I don't discriminate men, women, I love them all?"

"Yes." Nadei raises a brow and sips the rest of his coffee.

"Right so my phone call-she-Um-Veronica"

Nadei softly chuckles before placing his coffee down and pulling me over his lap.

"This Veronica is she a past lover?"

I just nod as he looks completely amused.

"She was more like a hook up when in town kind of thing. But now she's turned into a friend. You might like her she's kind of in the same 'business''

"Oh she is, is she? And what business would that be" he menacingly smiles while softly kissing my neck.

"Her cousin Esmeralda she's-a gun runner in Miami....she goes by the name"

"La Reina," he says, I pause push myself back a little. Just how, how does he know everything.

"I'm you're going to have to tell me how the FUCK do you know that!"

"To be fair my love a female gang leader is rare and also I'm the Pakhan I know everything"

"You never fail to surprise me Nadei Romanoff....so back to Vee, can um she....you know...."

"Yes, Nicole she can stay here, how about Franco drives us to pick her up."

"So you'll just let her stay here? No questions asked"

"Do you trust her?"

I nod and Nadei softly kisses me cheek.
