I wore his favourite colour today, God I am acting like a love sick puppy. But, it's all worth it for Elijah.
I called Elijah to invite him for a dinner, but all my calls were directly going to his voicemail.
Ding I heard my phone's notification go off. It's a message from Elijah.
Elijah: Sorry, couldn't pick up your call, anything important?
Me: I wanted to invite you for a dinner.
Elijah: Sorry Kara, can't come.I have some urgent project so will be staying at home.
Me: ok
I am pretty upset but can't help. He is busy and I don't want to disturb him or... I should take care of him, I can just deliver him dinner so he can rest for a while and the food will not be wasted.
I have been ringing Elijah's door bell for 10 minutes, it looks like no one is at home. Is he sleeping? No, I will message him.
Me: Elijah is your work done?
No reply wow where is he?
Ding I check to find out a message from Hannah. I viewed the message to find a picture with a text saying Check this out Kara. I saw the picture and it felt like someone has taken my heart out and crushed it.
It was a picture of Elijah with Kathy at the party. They were smiling in it like he was not guilty of anything.
I decided to confront him tomorrow as it makes no sense to confront a drunk Elijah.
