Chapter 33: Peaceful night

Y/N's POV

We were walking for a while. We see a electrical power station.

Kenny: Is that it? Hey, I'm talking to you!

Arvo: What?

Clementine: Arvo, is this where the supplies are? Where the food is?

Kenny then points his gun at Arvo.

Kenny: Answer her goddammit!

Arvo: No. It's a house. Is still more walk. Some more hours.

Kenny: Goddammit. I knew this was gonna happen. This guy fucked us.

Bonnie: Maybe we should stop for the night.

Kenny: This is bullshit.

Jane: Relax.

Kenny: Don't tell me to relax.

Bonnie: This isn't helping. We're all stressed. Let's just get a night's rest.

Kenny: Yeah, I'm gonna sleep real fucking easy tonight knowing this asshole is playing us.

AJ then starts crying.

Kenny: Oh, shit, sorry about that... it's all right buddy. It's all right.

Jane: If we are staying, we should scout this place out.

Kenny gives AJ to me.

Kenny: See if you can calm him down a bit.

Kenny and Jane then walks away to check out the power station. As I was holding AJ. Clem walked up and stuck her tongue out. which calms him down.

Bonnie: I think he likes you two.

Clementine: He's cute.

Y/N: Yeah.

Bonnie: Most babies are pretty ugly this soon after being born.

Mike: They usually look like weird little aliens.

Bonnie: Here... I got him.

I give the baby to Bonnie.

Kenny: Come on over. It's safe.

We then walk over to the station and make a campfire. Arvo was tied up away from the fire.

Luke: Today's my birthday. Near as I can tell.

Clementine: Happy birthday, Luke.

Y/N: Yeah, happy birthday.

Mike: Happy birthday.

Luke: Thanks.

Bonnie: Now you are 27?

Luke: Yeah. Feel a lot older though.

Kenny: Don't start with that shit.

Luke: Been five years since collage.

Clementine: I hope I can go one day.

Y/N: I hope I never go. I hate school.

Bonnie: Oh! I almost forgot.

She gets a bottle of rum out of her bag.

Clementine: Where did you get it?

Bonnie: Bill kept it.

Kenny: I got first watch.

He got up with AJ.

Y/N: I can take it.

Kenny: Nah, you stay warm.

He then walks away. Bonnie then shouts to Jane.

Bonnie: Fire over here if you want to get warm.

Jane: Maybe in a bit.

Bonnie: No secret how Luke feels about her.

Luke looks down embarrassed 

Bonnie: I'm just teasing.

Luke: It was stupid. I just wanted to forget about all of this.

Mike: I would have lasted longer.

Bonnie: Enough. We got little ones around.

She said talking about me and Clem.

Clementine: I know what you guys are talking about.

Y/N: Same.

Bonnie: I certainly hope not.

Clementine: You're talking about kissing stuff.

Y/N: It's more then just kissing Clem. They were fucking.

Clementine: Gross.

Luke: Ummm.

Bonnie: How do you know what that is?

Y/N: I once walked in my parents room when they were doing it.

Mike started laughing.

Bonnie: How about you two get Kenny and Jane over by the fire?

Y/N: Okay.

Me and Clem get up.

Y/N: I got Kenny.

Clementine: I got Jane.

I then walk to Kenny as Clem walked to Jane.

Y/N: Hey.

Kenny: Oh, hey Y/N. Just... needed some air.

Y/N: There's air everywhere.

I sit next to him.

Kenny: I'm sorry for... for how I acted back there... after Sarita was... I just... I couldn't handle it... I'm sorry. I mean, you and Clem did what you could.

Y/N: I... I could've done more.

Kenny: No, don't say that. You did everything you could, and I'm sorry if anything I said made you and Clem feel any different then that. It just makes me feel awful. I know I can be a real shit sometimes.

Y/N: Stop.

Kenny: No... it's true... but I.. I miss my boy. I miss him so much. I didn't raise him right. I was away a lot, somewhere on a boat. I thought I enjoyed that time away from my family. I'd give anything for one more second with them...

Y/N: I miss them too.

Kenny: It's gonna be different with AJ. He is gonna be raised right. You should get back over by the fire.

Y/N: You should come too.

Kenny: I don't know.

Y/N: Come on... It'll be good for everyone.

Kenny: Yeah, okay.

He then walks back to the campfire. Clem comes back with Jane. We all sit back down near the campfire.

Clementine: Nice to hear people laughing.

We then all fall asleep.

A/N: I'm skipping all of the dialogue after that part because this book is soooooo close to being done and I want to get it over with and work on Season 3.
