"Get the fuck out of here, they have a sniper!"
As if struck by lightning, Donghyuck got up on all fours. His whole body cried out in pain and he felt the several cuts and wounds caused by his sudden, ungentle fall.
"Fuck," he hissed under gnashing teeth and tried to pick himself up again as another bullet hit the asphalt right in front of his hands.
Unconsciously, he held his breath as he instandly backed away from the point of impact and fell onto his butt.
"Fucking leave!" Taeyong howled again, his deep voice trembling so loudly that it left the impression, his vocal chords could tear at any moment.
An unspeakable feeling of remorse filled his heart as his eyes fell on his usually confident and collected leader, who now resemled a raging beast, as well as his injured comrade.
It was his fault that it had come to this. It was his fault that they were attacked by SVT and targeted by their fucking sniper.
If only he hadn't failed his last mission...
As soon as this thought crept into his head, he jumped up on his aching feet and clenched his fists. It was his fault and he now had to redeem himself by backing his friends up.
Not a second later, he ignored Taeyong's furious orders and started sprinting in their direction again.
He didn't miss the new sounding gun shots that cut through the thin air again and again, hitting the ground close to his feet, the same metallic sound piercing through his ears.
Even when a bullet grazed his right shoulder and left a clean cut on his sun kissed skin, the boy ran on and on until he finally crashed against into the solid wall of the container.
"What the fuck are you doing here?! Can't you even take one bloody order from your motherfucking leader?" Taeyong roared outraged as soon as he saw Donghyuck , immediately grabbing him by his collar and aggressively pushing him against the cold metal wall.
His uneven breathing and the fire in his eyes reminded him that the person right in front of him was one of the scariest men in the whole city, no doubt.
The sight alone made Donghyuck gulp in fear while his own heart literally dropped onto the ground, if not even lower.
The vein on his leaders forehead threatened to burst every second had Jaehyun not drawn his attention to himself.
"I think they're moving," the boy said in the same rage as his leader, as he looked around the corner of the container.
"Shit," Taeyong automatically cursed and checked the magazine of his gun.
"Jaehyun you stay with Doyoung, try to get him to the headquarters somehow without the fucking sniper spotting you. Donghyuck comes with me."
Again, the leader looked into the eyes of the younger vigorously, his gaze piercing the back of his head, making all of his neck hair stand up in an instance.
"If you want to fight, go ahead. But disobey my damn orders one more time and I'll shoot you between your fucking eyes, do you understand me?!"
The last sentence he yelled again, whereupon Donghyuck intimidatedly jolted up and nodded without hesitation.
"Let's go."
'I should have left this fucking gang shit two years ago' it went through Donghyuck's mind several times before he raised his gun and followed Taeyong into open combat.
Even though he loved to be of high rank and be feared by more than half the city, he hated the activities from time to time and wished for nothing more than to get his old life back.
He was not as cold, threatening and ignorant as most of the people thought of him. Donghyuck was actually quite caring and loving, he had always been this way.
However, his own past had put an inescapable burden on him and he now had to protect his own intimidating image.
It could cost him his life if society had a less sinister and dangerous picture of him, especially after what had happened the last few years.
'Threaten, before you are threatened. Shoot, before you are shot.'
That were the mottos with which the boy had to struggle every day.Donghyuck continued running after his intrepid leader. He expected to see a handful of people whom he could target and shoot, but what neither Taeyong nor Donghyuck noticed was that they were running straight into a gigantic cloud of thick white smoke.
Both realized that while they were talking to Jaehyun, someone must have set off a smoke bomb which, in the meantime, had devoured almost the entire area, including the transporter in which their new weapons were located.
"Do you see the car," Donghyuck asked through the massive veil, identifying Taeyong's frame only as a blurry sihlouette.
"No, I-", he was interrupted by the immediate sound of new gun shots that literally seemed to come from all sides.
Instinctively, the two boys ducked and turned in all directions, hoping that they would spot someone through the heavy smoke. But they didn't and instead lost all sense of orientation.
They no longer had the slightest idea from which direction they had come and the sound of the coundless shots bouncing off the metal walls of the containers, didn't really help their situation.
Donghyuck opened his mouth as he wanted to say somehting again, when he suddenly noticed the humming of an engine and the squealing of tires that followed shortly afterwards.
"Those fucking bastards", it left Taeyong's lips with rage and without anything being said, the two NCT members ran in the same direction from which the noise was coming.
Donghyucks heart about to jump out of his chest.
