"She did what?!" I screamed into the phone "I'm on my way thank you" I said getting out of bed it was 5 am and I had just got the call saying Juliana took a whole bottle and a half of pills and tried to kill herself.
I started to cry as I got my clothes just thinking about the text she sent me last night and I guess she tried to kill herself right after. I felt so bad she had to go through this I didn't know the severity of it but I know it had to be bad. I grabbed my things and ran down the stairs and out the door. I got into the car and then dialed que's number as I headed to the hospital I was gon pick him up on the way. He didn't answer the phone but called me right back
"Hello" he said in a raspy voice
"Queedy it's me Juliana is in the hospital she tried to commit suicide" I said as my voice kinda cracked
"What the fuck is she okay april please tell me she is?" He said with a voice full of panic
"I don't know yet but I'm picking you up on the way so get dressed I'll take you to school after" I said as tears ran down my face
"Fuck that school I ain't going today" he said with anger in his voice
"I'll be there in 10" I said then hanging up
After the 10 minute drive I texted que and told him I was outside moments later he ran outside and got straight into the car I then pulled off and drove the rest of the way to the hospital. We arrived quickly I parked and both of us hopped out going straight in to the front desk.
"Hi were here to see Juliana James" I said looking at the lady
"Yes she's in room 208" she said with a warm smile handing us visitors passes
We got off the elevator and went straight to her room we opened the door and saw she was awake.
"What are y'all doing here?" She said in a low voice
"They called me and told me what happen and I called que" I said looking at her she then turned her back and started looking out the window
"What happen to you?" He said as he wiped his tears I was surprised I've never seen Jacquees cry never sad and upset yes but crying no. Juliana didn't say anything but you could hear her silent cries
"Juliana tell us something please" que pleaded with her laying his head on her shoulder
"I cant do it I just can't my life is a living nightmare" she said as tears continued to roll down her face I sat down in a chair next to her and looked at her she turned again and buried her face in the crook of que's neck I just sat with my head down I was suppose to protect her and I didn't I felt horrible. The doctor came in and told us she would be okay and she could be released. After she signed the papers we walked to the elevator and got on we reached the car and everybody got in I stopped and got breakfast for all of us and we went back to my house. I pulled up in the driveway and turned the car off we all got out and I unlocked the door we walked in and went straight to the couch I turned on the tv as we began to eat.
Me and que just stared at Juliana as she smashed her food I'm glad I bought alot of stuff. Que looked at me then back at her and she finally realized we were staring at her
"Omg I haven't eaten in days" she said stuffing more food in her mouth me and que just laughed. Everybody was done eating we were just sitting on the couch watching tv then juju layed in que's lap and fell asleep we just watched as she slept what seemed peacefully. A hour passed and juju woke up screaming
"No please don't!" She screamed out as she jumped up breathing heavy and sweating
"What's wrong?" I said looking at her
"I had another nightmare" she said wiping her face with her dirty shirt
"You gotta tell us what happen babe" que said rubbing her back she just put her head down
"H-h-h-he r-raped me" she said as tears started to flow
"He did what!" I said standing up
"Imma kill that nigga!" Que said clenching his jaw "I can't believe this shit I feel horrible I wasn't there for you" he said as he got up and walked out the living room
"I can't believe I let this happen to you I was suppose to be there for you and I let you down I failed" I said as I started to cry she then came close and hugged me
"It's not your fault april so stop blaming yourself " she said comforting me when I was suppose to be comforting her "I just wanna come back home " she said
"Imma go talk to the people tomorrow so just hold out another week for me please juju you gotta hold out " I said looking up at her "I don't wanna send you back but I have to if I just take you back they gon come and get you again we gotta do this the right way" I said we then hugged and walked into the kitchen where we seen que sitting at the table
"Are you okay?" I said as juju sat next to him
"I'm fine" he said but you could tell he was lying
"C'mon we need to talk" juju said grabbing his hand she hugged me before she walked off upstairs in her room.
Juliana,
"I barely sleep I don't eat at all there I hide in this corner in my room on the side of the dresser where he can't see me he beats me everytime he comes home he took pieces of my jewelry and sold it for drugs he makes me have sex with him and if i refuse he beats me I take showers all day sometimes trying to get him off me but I still feel dirty it's been hell for me that's why I took those pills I just couldn't do it no more and now I have to go back and I'm scared for my life" I said as que looked at me I could tell he was upset
"That bum ass nigga gon pay for what he did to you he doesn't deserve to live " he said holding me and kissing my cheek
"I love you Juliana and I swear I'll do anything for you I'm so sorry for all the things I did I never meant to hurt you and I never will again I'm making you my girl right now and no matter what imma protect you" he said looking me in my eyes
"I love you too que I always have" I said against his lips we then kissed
"I hate that I gotta go back there but I have to I gotta be there before he does or he will flip out" I said as my eyes welled up with tears
We both walked downstairs and april was ready to take me back to his house. We arrived and sat there for a long time before finally gaining the strength to get out.
"I'll be back for you juju I promise" she said before hugging me "I love you"
"I love you too" I said getting out the car
I walked up to the door and he swung it open
"Who the fuck you was in the car with? And don't ever try to do no shit like that again!" He screamed at me
I didn't say anything I just walked back into my room and locked the door I then sat in my corner and cried only one week right?
