So just a word of warning...

This chapter isn't happy...and either you are going to want to quit reading or you are going to keep on going.

I don't know if I did the chapter justice. I don't know if it's worded right or if it sounds good, but it makes an impact and that's what I was going for.

There are only two chapters left after this so I hope you enjoy it! I will be posting the last two chapters on Thursday!

Sophia's Point of View

It had been almost a week since Angel and I had gotten back together and it was the first day we decided it was time to come up for air. After the first few days at my dad's, Angel helped me move back into his place and then it was days full of talking, being completely open with each other about anything and everything, and love making – which we never got tired of. It was a very productive few days of just laying everything out on the table. It was refreshing.

Angel pulled into the secluded driveway at Adelita's place beside Coco's bike later in the morning after we went to Santo Padre's best, and only, diner for breakfast. Laura and I had been alternating days coming out to the house to check on Adelita's wound, but I offered to go out today as Angel wanted to go out and spend time with Diego.

I hopped off the back of Angel's bike once he brought it to a stop and he grabbed my hand before I could get very far. He got off his bike and sat down on the edge of the bike seat and pulled me in between his legs, kissing my nose. I smiled up at him as I reached up and took his helmet off his head. His hair, surprisingly, was still perfect. Slicked back like usual and incredibly sexy. I hung the helmet beside mine on one of his handlebars as he wrapped an arm around my waist and pulled me in tight against him.

"You're incredibly clingy today Angel," I said playfully, "that's not typical of you."

"It's all your fault, babe," he responded, a smile tugging at his lips, "You've brought out the sucky, romantic side of me. Whenever you're around me I can't help it."

"Keep it up," I giggled, "I love this side of you."

He took that opportunity to cup my face in his hands and kiss me tenderly. I kissed him back before he pressed his forehead against mine and sighed. I knew something was weighing on him, but I was afraid to ask. I kissed him one more time before pulling away, holding his hands in mine.

"What are you thinking about?" I asked quietly, "You seem a little distant."

"It's just...it's Adelita," Angel said cautiously, looking into my eyes, "Finding out that she had help escaping Potter's compound, her getting shot a week ago. I'm constantly on the look-out and worried that something is going to happen to her and Diego. I just...I want to protect you and I have to protect them and I just don't want you to think that I am favoring them over you."

"I don't feel that way," I replied sweetly, "They are your family and I get that. I understand you wanting to keep them safe. I want to keep them safe too. You know I would do anything to protect you and your family."

"I love you, Soph," Angel said in response.

"Back at you, hot stuff."

He gave me a cheeky smile before leaning in and kissing me softly. His lips were warm and soft against mine. A small breath escaped my lips as his tongue teased open my mouth allowing him access. His tongue traced my lips sensually before he caressed my tongue, sending a shiver through my body. It didn't matter how many times this man kissed me like this, it would forever feel like the first time every time. He gripped my hips, pulling me as close as he could, groaning into my mouth. He kissed me slow and passionately, deliberately as if not wanting me to forget that I was his.
