A/N sorry I haven't been doing my best on chapters lately. I have been really busy and I try to update in the small amount of time I get to update. I use my study hall at school for you guys so I would appreciate it if you were a little kind about this.
RYANS POV

I could not stay at the gas station if I was not going to buy anything. And I hade no money. The manager was not a nice man. I stayed close to the gas station while I wondered.
This was not a big town. No mall to go to. I was going to go to the park but there were some shady guy there and I didn't want to get in his way of smoking or something.
On the ground I found a pebble and started to kick it around.

Where was I going to sleep.? How will I wake in the morning?
This was all so confusing. Maybe I will just sit on this bench.
I sat on the bench. It was a cold metal one, painted green. Good thing I have a blanket. I unzip my backpack to get the blanket when all of a sudden it went dark.

💤💤💤

I slowly opened my eyes. It was dark. We're there no lights on? Where am I? My hands were tied behind my back and my feet were tied to the chair I was in.

I heard a big metal door click open, then slowly shut with a loud ca-clink.
I heard two pars of shoes walk into the room.
"So where did you find my boy jimmy?" Asked one man.
Jimmy?
Who is jimmy?
"I found him in the park benches. You said that's where he smoked his stuff there."

Oh maybe he mistaken me for that guy in the park.

"Take the bag of of his head." A man said.
So that's why it was so dark.
The bag lifted from my head. The light burned my eyes. My hair was staticky. "That's not my boy." Said a man with a beard. "But you-" the guy with the beard slaps him before he can finish. "Fix it. Or I'll kill you" the man who kidnapped me lied on the ground with his cheek bleeding.
The guy with the beard leaves.
The other guy gets up. "I don't know what to do." He paces back and forth.
"Do you do this often." I ask. He stops pacing "Do what? Freak out? Maybe." He starts pacing again. "No. I mean kidnapping he wrong person." I say. "Oh. No I don't normally kidnap anyone. Your the first." He says. "Will you let me go." I ask. He thinks for a second. "Well in the movies they normally wouldn't let them go soo..." He says. "This is not a movie. This is reality. Why are you even doing this?" I ask. "I need the money."

"Well maybe you could let me go and run away and find a different way to get money." I say.
"Give me one good reason I should let you go." He says crossing his arms trying to look scary. (Not that scary.)
"Well you see your forgetting that if you were to never let me go. I would never see my family. And they would miss me. And it will be your fault that they will never see me again. And would you want to be the reason that my life would be ruined. I still have decades of years to live. You would be taking away what future I have. I have always wanted to work as a geologist. And there is this girl I have my eye on. I want to have a future with that girl . Guess who would be take my entire dream away."
I take a deep breath.

The guys eyes were watering.

"I do-don't want to do that." He sobs.
I did not expect him to cry.
"Is that a good enough reason for you?" I ask.
He replies by cutting the tape from legs and the rope from my wrists. I rub my arms. There were red marks from the rope. I stand up. It takes a few steps for me to catch my balance.
"Let's go." He says

"Thank you... Uh..." I pause.
"Mark. My NA,e is Mark." He smiles
