30. Labor/ Delivery- Khalid ❤️

I am almost a week from my due date but I haven't been feeling too well lately. I've been feeling very tired. More than I usually would in the later stages of pregnancy. I've been getting headaches and pain throughout my body and swollen ankles too which is weird. It's probably nothing. Me and Khalid just want our baby girl to be here. Hopefully not long now. We just want to meet little Serenity. I am laid on the couch taking a nap as I feel really tired. I couldn't be bothered to go to bed and sleep so I just decided to sleep on the couch. Khalid doesn't mind as he's in the kitchen tidying up. I usually do that but he's doing that now. He walks into the lounge to see me and sits next to me. "Hey, babe. How are you doing?" he said. I kinda grunt. He places his hand on my forehead. "Ohhhh. You're burning up quite a lot" he said. "It's so hot" I say. "It's not really, sweetie. You're probably just hot"
Khalid said. Khalid said something else but I couldn't here him as I had passed out. "Babe, can you here me?" he yells. No I couldn't. I could sense that he was panicking even though I was half unresponsive. The next thing I knew an ambulance had arrived. Two paramedics come in and then the next thing I knew, I was put in the back of an ambulance. I started to wake up a bit as we were on the way to the hospital. Khalid was beside me and I could just about see him. "Where am I?" I ask under my breath. "Errrr we're on our way to the hospital, honey. You're not so good" Khalid replies. "Okay" I groan. Khalid holds onto my hand. I had no idea what was happening

Khalid's POV

Y/ N has just been taken to the hospital. I don't know what's happening to her but I'm so worried and stressed. She really isn't well, I hope I'm not gonna loose her or our baby girl. I hope she pulls through. I was talking to her and all of a sudden and then she was unresponsive. I had to call an ambulance. Y/ N gets rushed into the ER and I'm right by her side. I try to stay calm but I can't. "Is she okay?" I ask one of the nurses. "She will be. Don't worry" she says reassuringly. I stay by Y/ N's side as they examine and asses her. A doctor comes in to see what's wrong with her. He monitors her blood pressure and says "Her blood pressure is very high. I'm pretty sure she has preeclampsia. The baby's heartbeat is also dropping too". "Is that serious? Will she be okay. Will they both be okay?" I ask. "Yes hopefully they both will be if we treat it" he said. They keep an eye on Y/ N and I stay by her side. "Don't worry, darling. Everything will be okay" I say holding her hand. "I hope so" Y/ N whispers. I stayed with Y/ N for a while and she seemed to be coming round but I noticed that she was burning up so I called in the nurses and the doctor came in. "Wow! You're really hot again. I'll check your blood pressure again" said one of the nurses. She checks Y/ N's blood pressure and it has risen. She gets the doctor and he examines her. "Okay we need to get the baby out now. If we don't do it. We could loose them both" he said. "Okay. Can I come in?" I ask. "No I'm afraid not. We need to do this now" he said. They rushed Y/ N through to the operating room. I had to wait anxiously in the waiting room by the operating room

I wait anxiously in the waiting room to hear the news on Y/ N. It's seemed like a lifetime. I need to know if my girlfriend and baby girl are okay. A few minutes later, the doctor comes out. I stand up and look at him. "She's okay and your baby girl is too. Congratulations" he said. "Thank you. Thank you for saving them both" I say. "No problem. You can see them soon" the doctor said shaking my hand. About an hour later, I could see Y/ N when she had come round and our newborn baby girl Serenity. I walk into the room to see them both. "Hey, baby. How are you?" I say. "Okay" she replies. "Oh my gosh. This is our baby girl. Wow! She's beautiful" I say. "She is. Serenity. Our angel" Y/ N reply. "I'm so thankful that both of you are here. I couldn't live without you" I say kissing her hand. "We are. I'm not leaving you and Serenity, Khalid. Not ever" Y/ N replies. "I love you" I say. I got to hold Serenity later and she is beautiful. She's a big girl but she's beautiful. My little princess. Today was a very stressful and worrying day but Y/ N pulled through it and she's still here and our little baby girl made it into the world too. I'm one lucky man to have both of my girls here
