Shawn 💖

Shawn and I are starting to decorate our baby's nursery today and we can't wait to get started on our baby's paradise. We are going with neutral colours as we don't know if we are having a boy or a girl and we don't want to settle on one particular colour. First Shawn and I start by painting the room a nice beige colour. It's going to look nice when we've painted it. We both have a paint roller in our hand and we are painting over the wall. "Ohhhh this is fun" Shawn said. "It is indeed" I reply. We then started splashing paint on each other. Not intentionally actually. "You started it" Shawn said. "I did not" I reply. "Haha" he laughs. We splash paint and then carry on with the decorating. As we were waiting for the paint to dry we got changed into clothes that weren't covered in paint. We then started assembling the crib, chair and other things. Shawn mostly did the crib on his own with a little bit of my assistance but not too much. The chair was easy to put together. We put them in place. The crib by the wall and the chair next to it. Then we assemble the dresser and another storage unit too. Soon the room was looking perfect for baby Mendes. Oh and we put the bouncy chair we got by the chair too and a couple of shelves to store things on. "I think it looks amazing, babe. Our baby will love it when he or she is here" Shawn said. "Yes he or she will and we can't wait to meet them" I say. "Absolutely, baby" he said touching my bump and kissing me. Shawn and I had a great time doing our baby's nursery today. It was so much fun

Harvey 💙

Harvey and I are going to make a start on getting our baby sons nursery ready. I'm still a couple of months off my due date but we want to get his room ready early because we are so excited to get it done. We are not gonna bother painting the walls as the walls are fine the way they are and it's more time consuming to decorate and design all in one day. We want to try and get most of it done today if we can. Anyway Harvey and I go into the empty room and start hanging some things on the wall first. We bought this plaque with a quote on and these deer heads to go either side where the crib is. "Make sure you put them straight. Don't want them looking wonky" I say to Harvey as he puts fixings on the wall. "I am. Just give me time" he replies. "Chill" I laugh. When he had finished doing that we put things in place. We also bought some curtains to go in the room so we get those up to before doing the crib. "Right where do we start" Harvey said. "Hmmm I think it's this piece first. Ikea instructions are always hard to follow" I say. "Yep I know" he replies. After looking at the instructions a couple more times we figured out how to assemble the crib. It took us about half an hour to complete it. "Looks good. Let's get it into place" Harvey said. We move it into place and out the chair next to it that my mum gave us with a table and footstool beside it. I place a cushion and cute monkey on the chair. Harvey makes up the changing unit and we get that into place with a bin and laundry basket beside it. Soon the room was done and it was looking great. "Well done. It looks awesome" I say. "It does. Wow! Our boy will love it" Harvey said. He high fives me and kisses me. It was so much fun doing our baby's nursery today. Can't wait till he's here
