He pulled back taking me in his arms and placing me back on the bed "I had to have you," He growled in anger sitting beside me his back towards me "Throughout the years I have lived I have never come across someone who showed no interest and had no effect over my compel," He explained as he paused.

My breathing grew sharper and shallow as I sucked in slowly feeling my chest cave in like something heavy was sitting on top of me.

"Father Galvin is a friend of mine, I asked him to investigate the alley to recover your body I didn't expect him to find you alive," He sighed "Your life I have seen through my eyes as you have seen of mine, you have inherited my abilities-"

He was cut off as my breathing caught his attention turning to me "Your friends, would you really go another day without seeing them, I see the way you protect her-,"

"Katie," I gasped her memories flooding back into my head, how could I have forgotten about her, her face if I never showed up to explain how could I forget my promise to return.

Themis held his wrist to his mouth as his pearly white teeth sunk into it as he held out his wrist towards me "Take it," he demanded.

The flow of blood escaping his wound didn't work me up like I had expected with Katie, slowly I raised my head taking his hand as I brought it down to my lips sucking it slowly at first as I drew in deeper the blood flowing into my mouth and down my throat satisfying my thirst a little.

"Stop," Themis let out.

I pulled away my head falling onto the pillow as I gasped in horror to see his past flash before my eyes like a movie playing at full speed with no sign of stopping.

Themis lowered his gaze at me in surprise "I was expecting to pry you off me," he whispered in shock "Your stronger than i thought,"

I gazed up at him my body suddenly coming right not feeling so tired so..., dead as he continued to stare at me before finally turning his head to the door "Gabrielle,"

The door burst open as he stood there bowing his head "Sire,"

"Fetch me two bags of blood immediately," he demanded as Gabrielle bowed his head again turning on his heels disappearing around the corner.

"You need rest-,"

"I need to see my friend," I let out sitting upright as his hand went flying to my shoulder his hold firm against it.

"No," he let out "There are hundreds maybe thousands of vampires here, you are still human you need to continue feeding off me that's how it works," He was angry frustrated at how determined I was to get up and leave.

"I don't understand," I replied.

He sighed "You wouldn't understand," He replied rubbing his eyes "I've ashamed my colony as it is and if they find out what I did-,"

"You're saying that your kind is forbidden to bite humans?" I cut in.

His dark eyes stared into mine before slightly nodding "You see..,"

While he babbled on quietly my breathing grew I was panicking not in fear but in pure hate I had lunged at him but just like before but he was several times as fast as I was as he stepped aside as I tumbled to the floor "HOW COULD YOU!" I screamed so loud the room shock.

"Sire," Nikolay, Aleksander, Arkady and Gabrielle barged in calling out his name as they turned to me sitting on the floor sprawled out like a beaten neglected homeless person.

My breathing grew heavy my chest falling and raising fast the candles flickered before being blown out completely as the windows burst open smashing against the walls glass covering the maroon coloured carpet, everything in the room rose up like a strong wind that didn't exist twirling them around the room in a circle.
