                                                                    ~ * ~ * ~

Later that night, we end up planning to talk to my parents about Caleb's plan of sometimes having the baby and I staying here. He drives us to my house and it's dark outside by the time we get there, and I can honestly admit that I'm actually pretty nervous about us telling this new idea to my mother and father. My dad might not take it very well, but it's Caleb's daughter just as much as she's mine. I just hope that my dad will understand that Caleb just wants me to spend some nights there to simply help me with Nevaeh, and maybe my dad will respect that.

My mother on the other hand, she might also take it the wrong way, and I really wouldn't feel comfortable if that happened. It would be the most amazing feel in the whole world to know that my parents are on our side. I just hope they understand how happy this makes me, knowing that Caleb wants to help me with Nevaeh as much as he possibly can, especially since I plan on finishing high school. He's my boyfriend, and in a month I'm going to be eighteen years old and that basically means I'll be considered an adult, and I'll be able to dowhatever I'd like.

But I just hope deep in my heart that my mom and dad will understand this and will like the idea. We get out of his truck and we silently walk up to the porch, as he gently takes my hand which gives me a nice sense of security and relief. It just reminds me that he's on my side.

And that really matters most to me, anyways.

"Don't even worry about it," Caleb unexpectedly says to me, as I look up into his eyes and I eventually release a soft breath, nodding in agreement. "At the end of the day, it isn't about what anyone else thinks. It's just about us. The three of us."

"You're right," I carefully whisper, as he looks in front of us and I cautiously open the door.

The second I step inside my house, is when I catch my mother walking down the staircase, and she looks as happy as can be. "Oh hello, sweetheart!" She exclaims, making it down to the bottom of the stairs as she holds a laundry hamper down by her waist. "Hey Caleb!"

"What's up, Jean?" He asks her, calmly and happily smiling as she smiles back. "How're you?"

"I'm fabulous, thanks for asking." We follow my mother down the long hallway and I feel Caleb's grasp around my hand tighten, probably because he's hearing how out of control my breathing is.

"Where's dad?" I softly question, as the room opens up and I spot my father in the kitchen.

After hearing my voice, he swiftly turns around away from the stove, and a small grin overtakes his face. "Bell," he mumbles, his tone deep and hesitant.  "I was hoping you'd be home for dinner."

Staring at the pots cooking on the stove, the scent of food immediately filling my nose, is when I can't help but laugh to myself. My father never cooks, and tonight he is. And the most funniest part about it is that it actually smells really appatizing. "You're making dinner?" I pause, as he flahses me an innocent smile. "You cook? Since when?"
