Taiven is trapped in the Deep, but for some reason not dead. Auron keeps him alive because he has information on an old merfolk legend that could lead to great ocean power.
As all this goes on underwater, Ridge faces his own problems up on land. After a series of strange pictures and unexplained events, the small town starts to wonder if there may or may not be merpeople leaving in the depths of their ocean; a hunt starts, a mermaid hunt for money. Ridge does his best to stop it, but ends up in a much worse situation, a very wet situation.
Nothing ever goes according to plan in this second installment of A Mermaid Tale.
