CALVIN
Habang hinihimas niya ang likod ni Ara ay unti unti itong kumalma. Hindi nagtagal at nakatulog na ito muli sa bisig niya. Calvin stared at the woman in his arms. To fall asleep just like that... She must have trust him a lot. Isang munting ngiti ang dumapo sa kanyang labi. Binuhat niya ang dalaga at pagkatapos niya itong punasan ay inihiga niya ito sa kama.
Tinitigan niya ang dalagang mahimbing na natutulog sa kama. Ni minsan ay hindi niya nilingon ang katawan nito. He musn't. Wala siyang karapatan. It was his way of showing his loyalty. He could not touch her. The only thing he could do is to protect her.
Napabuntong hininga na lamang siya. Pinatay niya ang ilaw bago siya lumabas ng kwarto. When he went out, he saw someone who shouldn't be here. His eyes immediately went cold.
Marcus. His brother. Kung nandito ito, ibig sabihin ay nasa paligid lamang ang ibang Fallen.
"Anong ginagawa mo rito?"he asked sharply.

"She isnt."mariin na tugon ni Calvin.
"Don't be blind. She isn't worth it. You're not the first one she used."tugon ni Marcus sa kanya.
"Don't interfere with my business. You don't know anything."walang emosyong tugon ni Calvin.
"If you won't come willingly, I will use force Calvin!"banta ni Marcus.
"You don't understand anything." He took out a double edged knife as he stared at Marcus coldly. Marcus looked at him with disappointment as he took out his own weapon. In Marcus's hands is a crystal sword with black lines running on its blade.
Naunang umatake si Marcus. Agad na umatras si Calvin upang maiwasan ang patalim na papalapit sa kanyang leeg. Bago pa man maging stabilisado ang tayo niya, agad na umamba muli ng atake si Marcus. Calvin blocked the incoming attack with his knife. Marcus's momentum was too much and Calvin was forced to step back. Calvin gritted his teeth. Noon pa man ay alam na niya na bihasa ang kapatid niya sa pag-gamit ng espada. He has always been inferior to Marcus when it came to purely physical fights.
"Leave with me and this will end Calvin. You know you can never win against me."kalmadong wika ni Marcus.
"No"Calvin said through gritted teeth before counter attacking. His attacks were useless. Marcus evaded his attacks with ease.
"Why? Why are you protecting her?"Marcus asked.
"I need her."mariing tugon ni Calvin habang nakatitig sa mga mata ni Marcus. Hate filled Marcus's eyes.
"I'm your brother! We've been together for so long and you'll choose her over us?"galit na wika ni Marcus. Marcus's striked towards Calvin. Calvin looked at him grimly. He tried to evade his attacks but it was as if Marcus's sword have eyes as it followed him. Wala siyang ibang magawa kung hindi sanggain ang atake nito gamit ang kanyang patalim. Sparks flew off from the collisions. Unti unting napapaatras si Calvin sa pabilis na pabilis na atake ni Marcus. Hindi nagtagal ay hindi na niya masabayan ito. Nang mukhang tatama na ang espada nito sa kanya, mabilis niyang ibinalot ang sarili niya ng mga itim na pakpak. Napatigil si Marcus sa pag-atake sa kanya.
"Black wings..."Marcus stared with disbelief. Demon. He immediately looked at Calvin's eyes.
"Blue"Marcus whispered. Confusion filled his eyes as he stared at Calvin.
"Calvin...What did you do?"Marcus looked at him with disbelief. Calvin just silently looked away. Marcus stared at him. Then, as if he understood something from Calvin's eyes, he started to laugh.
"I was too late"Marcus said as he laughed as if he was mad.
"You already made your choice. And your choice was not us. You chose to leave us!"sabi pa niya. Marcus laughed till tears formed in his eyes.
"Brother..."mahinang tugon ni Calvin habang tahimik na nakatitig sa kanyang kapatid.
"DON'T call me that."putol ni Marcus sa kanya. Unti unting humupa ang kanyang tawa at pinunasan niya ang luhang lumabas sa gilid ng kanyang mga mata.
"Alam mo ba ang ginagawa mo? If you do this, it means you are ending the relationship between us."Marcus asked as he smiled at Calvin.
"I know."Calvin whispered. Tumango si Marcus. His eyes were unreadable as he continued to smile at Calvin.
"I understand. Then from this day onwards, you are not my brother anymore."mariing tugon ni Marcus bago siya tumalikod. Calvin stared at his brother's back. He didn't know if it was his imagination but his brother's back looked especially lonely.
"Marcus!"Calvin shouted. Marcus stopped walking but he did not look back.
"Go back."wika pa ni Calvin.
"You have no right to order me anymore. But don't worry. I'll go back. Earth is too dark for us anyway."wika ni Marcus bago siya tuluyang umalis. Bago ito umalis ay nakita ni Calvin ang paglapit ng ibang Fallen sa kapatid niya.
"Calvin?"Reid, one of the Fallen, asked.
"Let's go. He already made his choice. We won't interfere with him anymore."malamig na bigkas ni Marcus bago ito tuluyang umalis.
Calvin sighed when his brother left. He kept staring at the direction where the Fallen left minutes ago. Various thoughts flashed in his mind before he looked away. He already made up his mind. He can't choose his brother.
He looked at Ara's door. Even with all the commotion, Ara still slept deeply.
"The only thing I could do is to protect her... then take her away..."he whispered. His gaze was lifeless and cold as he stared at her door. He closed his eyes.
"Everything will be fine"mahinang wika ni Calvin. When he opened his eyes, it was as if nothing happened.
"Proprotektahan kita Ara. This is my oath."wika ni Calvin. Calvin's gaze quickly became filled with hate.
"A puppet will always be a puppet. He is nothing. I will finish this soon."Calvin said as he stared at Ara's door. Slowly, Calvin's eyes was suffused with darkness until his blue eyes became a shade darker.
YOHAN
"Row row row your boat gently down the stream..."Yohan sang as he held a white chess piece in his hands. In front of him is a chess board. He was happily playing by himself as he softly sang.
"Merrily merrily merrily merrily, life is but a dream..."he sang as he placed the white pawn at the end of the board. After he put it down, the white pawn changed into a black knight***.
And so another one has fallen...

***For those who do not know about chess. Sa chess, kapag ang pawn ay nakarating sa kabilang dulo, pwede na siyang ma-"promote". Ibig sabihin pwede mo na siyang palitan ng queen, knight, rook, or bishop na THE SAME color mo. For example white player ka, pwede mong palitan yung white pawn mo ng white queen ganun.
