Chapter 19: Changes
LARA's POV
"I missed my bed!"
I'm feeling the coldness of the covers while hugging my pillow. I cuddle under the blanket feeling every inch of its softness.
It's good to be back in my cozy dorm room again.
Kinabukasan..
*knock* *knock*
I forced my sleepy head to open the door.
"Good morning butiki! Rise and shine! Maligo ka na! The parade starts at 10!"
Urgh! Oo nga pala. I forced myself to get a towel at pumasok sa banyo.
"Double time!" sigaw ni Trisha sa labas.
"Ten minutes!" sagot ko.
Paglabas ko, the make-up set, the hair dryer, the hair spray and the curlers are all ready.
"Twin? You look horrible.." sabi ko habang tinitingnan si Trisha from head to foot.
Ngayon ko lang kasi napansin na hindi siya naka lipstick at wala nang highlights ang buhok niya. She's wearing jag jeans and a loose t-shirt.
"May sakit ka ba?" tanong ko ulit.
"Twin! Ano ba! Masama bang maging conservative?"
"Conservative? Ikaw? Are you kidding me?"
Hindi siya umimik but she let me sit down and blow dry my hair. After her final touches, she placed the crown and fixed it.
"Twin? I have a boyfriend.." sabi niya habang hawak ang hair spray.
"You always have one.. Should I be shocked?"
"Ngayon lang ako naging seryoso ulit and I'm happy.. I can't explain the happiness I felt when I decided to love again! Kaya ikaw, hmmmm!"
I saw her reflection in the mirror and she looks happy.
"Well good for you!" yan lang ang nasabi ko and I gave her a fake weak smile.
It's already 9:00 nang nakalabas kami sa kwarto. Tristan is already waiting inside the car.
Tinitigan niya ako for almost a minute.
I'm wearing a fit black skinny jeans, yellow thin belt, white fit tshirt na naka insert, and black heels.
I also chose to wear big earings dahil kung maliit, hindi masyadong makita because of my big curls.
"What?" tanong ko kay Tristan while fixing my sash and my crown.
"Ba't kailangan ganyan ka pula ang lips?"
"Hahaha! Nahahawaan ka narin ba ni Trisha?"
"Hindi naman.. Hindi lang ako makakahalik.." he said at pinaharurot niya ang kotse hanggang sa makarating kami sa assembly area.
The parade started well and ended well.
I just didn't enjoyed the ride kahit maganda pa ang float na sinasakyan ko.
Napakahangin kasi ng Mr. University 2014. He told me about his parent's wealth, his inheritance and his girls. Pasalamat siya at worried akong magkaroon ng angry face sa stolen pictures kaya ngumingiti ako palagi.
As the days passed, my life started to be back to normal. All the changes became favorable.
"Couz? Okay ka lang?" Dana asked habang bitbit ang dalawang shopping bags.
"Yes.. Never better!" sagot ko at tumungo na kami sa Shake Castle. Si Dana na ang pinaorder ko, kakapagod din kasi magshopping.
"Alam mo Couz.. Takot ako maging masaya.." biglang sabi ni Dana at inayos ang kanyang pagupo.
"Ha? Why? You're the first person I heard talking like that.."
"Natatakot ako dahil baka bukas hindi na.."
Tumigil naman ako sa paglaro ng tab at pinagisipan ang sinabi ni Dana. She seems right.
Paano kung bukas, may problema nanaman?
Paano kung bukas, ang nakasanayan kong mga bagay biglang mawala?
Paano kung bukas, umiba ang ihip ng hangin?
"Ahm.. I don't know what to say.." sabi ko at tumingin sa labas.
"Couz? Sana hindi na magbago ang lahat.. Sana ganito nalang palagi.. Masaya, maayos at walang problema.. Sana walang changes.."
People change like seasons do.Walang permanent sa mundo, diba?
The flowers wither..
The leaves fall..
The rainbow disappears..
The sand dunes fade..
The river dries..
and even the iron rusts.
"Paano kung bukas maiba na ang lahat?" tanong ulit ni Dana.
"Then we'll face the changes.. Walang permanent diba? So sadness is never permanent.."
"Positive thinker ka talaga couz!"
"I'm trying to be.."
"Remember what Tita Beatrice always say noon?" and she smiled.
"Treasure every moment before it becomes a memory.." sabay naming sabi and we did enjoy our cousin time with a frappe and an avocado shake.

Advance Merry Christmas guys! Malapit na ang christmas holidays! Yehey!
As I get older my christmas list became shorter and some of them cannot be bought in a department store:)
