Chapter 7 - What the...

Alastor was fixing his bowtie and getting ready for the day when someone knocked at the door.
He went to opened the door only to be hugged by none than Angel Dust.
《Angel? What's goin-》
The Radio Demon was interrupted by a kiss on his lips. The other was holding him close, like if he was afraid to let him go.
《I... I'm sorry for what happened last night... He made me angry on purpose....》
Angel said looking down. Alastor sighed.
《My dear... Why should he do that? I'm sure it was the alcohol you drank...》
《No it wasn't! He-- He wants YOU!!》
Alastor looked confused.
《Me? Hahaha! My dear this isn't true, it's all your imagination!》
《It isn't! I swear! He even called you Bambi!!》
《And so?》
《He is even greater than me in finding cute names! He can do everything better then me, I know this for sure! And... I think I'm afraid to lose you...》
Alastor stood there with a surprised look. He didn't think that Angel cared so much about him and their relationship. He snapped out of his thoughts.
《My dear... If I didn't enjoy you and your company we definitely wouldn't be here now. So you don't have to worry about this, clear?》
《Really??》
Alastor nodded at the question. Angel looked at him. He smiled happily and hugged him even more tightly.
The Spider demon leaned him to kiss the other, but his hand stopped him a few inches from his mouth.
《Not so fast, We'll kiss again this evening~ of you help doing something with the hotel, if course!》
Alastor said, starting to walk to reach the hall.
《It's not fair!》
The other protested, following him.
《What about two kisses this time?》
《Two??? It's great!!!》

During the day Angel helped Charlie hanging some painting that Lucifer brought on the wall, they also did other jobs together.
The young girl didn't know how Angel became so helpful and happy to work at the hotel, but she surely wanted to thank what or who changed his mind.
Meanwhile Alastor was still doing bureaucratic businesses for the hotel, humming a melody with his usual smile on his face.
He was at the front desk when a voice captured his attention.
《I didn't think that a hotel needed so many papers... I'm glad that my little girl found someone who helps her with this stuff.》
Alastor lifted his head to see Lucifer smiling at him.
《Good Morning, Lucifer! Yeah, I offered her to leave these papers to me so she doesn't have to worry about them.》
《Can I help you?》
《Don't worry, I can handle this. Besides you are taking a break from work, aren't you?》
《Yeah... I just wanted to keep you some company.》
The Devil confessed. Alastor offered him to sit there while he was working so they could talk. Lucifer accepted and decided to take a chair and sit next to the other demon.
《I wanted to say sorry for what happened last night. I might have drank too much and overreacted. I'm sorry you assisted to it.》
《Don't worry my friend, alcohol can do weird things! Am I right?》
《You are... I hope everything is okay with your friend...》
Lucifer said, marking the last word. Alastor froze for a few seconds, then he answered.
《Yes! Everything is fine!》
《He looked really jealous...》
《Oh well... He is... Angel...》
The King got closer to him. He putted an hand on his shoulder, making the other stop and turn his head to look at him. The king was getting closer when Charlie arrived, looking for her father. Lucifer moved back and stood up.
《Sorry, I have to go... Thanks for keeping me company, Bambi~》
《Bambi..?》
Alastor asked surprised, thinking about what Angel said in the morning.
《Yes... Aren't you a deer?》
《Yeah... It's just... Nevermind... Bye dear friend!》
He said smiling. The Devil walked towards his daughter and walked away with her.
The Radio Demon thought about the name Lucifer gave him and the things Angel said that morning. Maybe the Spider demon was right about the king?.... What the....
