Chapter 1

A/N: I decided to skip ahead 2 years to Arabella's 16th birthday

Arabella's POV
Two years later

Today is my birthday. I woke up excited. I was able to skip school on my birthday because I have good grades. My dad is the CEO of a large company and promised me I'd get a car today. I was happy to have whatever as long as I could drive myself where I needed to go and to work. Since I turned 16 today I can start working at my dads company.
I walked down stairs and saw my mom making my favorite waffles and bacon.
As I sat down at the island she glanced up and said happy birthday baby girl.
"I hope that's not what you're wearing today?" She said looking me up and down.
"Hahaha no mom I wanted to eat before I got ready to leave."
"Okay honey. Eat up and get ready we are leaving in an hour."
"Yes mom"

After eating my breakfast I ran upstairs and go in the shower. After using my favorite shampoo and conditioner that smelled of coconuts and my lavender body wash I got out of the shower and went to my walk in closet. After picking out my outfit(below) I got dressed and curled my hair.

I walked back down stairs and saw my mom and sister ready to go.

My dad walked down the stairs and asked if I was ready to go pick up my car that he bought me. I said yes let's go... after walking outside and getting into my dads car we drove to what I thought was going to be a used car lot but turned out to be an Audi dealer.
"How can I help you today?" Asked the lady at the desk.
"Yes I here to pick up my car my name is Edward Mikaelson"
"Yes, here it is I will have someone pull it around for you."
"Thank you."

After my dad was done talking to the lady we went outside and waited. As a car pulled around my mouth dropped open I wasn't expecting my dad to buy me this.

A brand new 2020 Audi R8.

"OMG dad is this really mine?"
"Yes sweetie it is."

Skip ahead to dinner.

It was now time for my birthday dinner. I changed my outfit And put my grandmother ring on.

I went down stairs and walked out to the limo my father got for tonight. It was my parents, my sister, and my best friend going to my favorite restaurant Le Bernardin.

While we were eating my parents kept giving my gummy looks. Finally I had enough and asked what's wrong.

"Well honey," my mom started "we have some news to share with you. Your father and I decided it would be best if we got a divorce."
"WHAT! Why tell me today. Why ruin the perfect birthday and tell me now?"
"Well honey because tomorrow you, your sister and I are moving back to where I grew up with your grandparents" my mother told me.
"Why can't I stay here with dad? I was supposed to start learning the business to take over in 5 years"
"I'm sorry sweetie I need you to come with me. But don't worry we are having your car shipped there so you will have that to remember me by and I will buy you another one for when you come back here to visit me." Said my father.

After dinner we went home and my best friend and I went to my mom to pack my clothes while crying our eyes out. She stayed the night and we promised to never lose touch.

The next day my father took us to the air port with our bags of clothes everything else including my car was already shipped out to Montana this morning before I woke up. Yes you heard me right. I am giving up my fabulous life in New York City and moving to Montana. Ugh.

After the 7 hour flight we finally arrived in Montana. I haven't seen my grandparents since I was 10 and my sister has never met them before. We got in the car and drove to their house where we were staying tonight because our new home wasn't ready yet.

I knew the had money my family on both sides did so when I saw their house I was shocked. I know my dad bought my mom a house here and hoped he didn't buy something like this. After eating diner and showering I passed out on the bed in the room I'm sharing with my sister.

A/N: I know it's kinda all over the place right now. I am trying to get back story in before we really get into the book. It will start to flow together in the next chapter. Until then comment and let me know what you think.
