I don't know if it's just me but do you just get annoyed seeing the same 'personalities' in characters. It's like I feel like no one can ever really be unique because you get this feeling of 'oh I've seen this before'
Like especially in fanfiction. I know it's fiction and it can be whatever you want it to be but I just want some organial content.
Like people will create what I like to call the 'victim' character. These characters usually experience the worst situations in their life. EX: abuse, sexual assault, drug abuse. The ones who are so 'mysterious'.
Not trying to desensitize abuse but when you see a form of abuse in each story your sympathy level just decreases each and every time.
(I can't be the only one)
I need some new personalities to please, cause at the end of the day these characters are starting to blend together.
The irony is the author will often make it seem like their character is so different and unique but author 1001 has the exact same plot as you. Just something to think about for newer writers
