§ Ciara's Point of View §
We're surrounded by spirits. Dead spirits... ang sama ng tingin nila sa amin, as if they'd want to eat us alive. They're from the fields of punishment in Underworld. Bakas sa mga kaluluwa nila ang paghihirap.
They all pointed their fingers to me... and chanted words, pero wala naman akong naririnig. I looked at Elise with her same dull expression, but when I turned to Seth, napansin kong unti unti syang nawawala sa katinuan nya. Ibinalik ko ang tingin ko sa mga espiritu at doon ko napagtanto na hindi sila mga ordinaryong espiritu. Unti unti silang lumalapit.
"What the heck--" Nanlaki ang mga mata ko nang makita ko ang isang espiritu. My doppelganger is staring right at me. I felt a deep pain in my chest as everything went pitch black.
Unti unti akong nakarinig ang agos ng alon. Dahan dahan kong binuksan ang aking mga mata. At bumungad sa akin ang dalampasigan. May babaeng umiiyak sa harap ng lalaki. Kaming tatlo lang ang andito.
"Seth? Elise?" Sabi ko habang papalapit sa kanila. Ngunit bago pa man ako tuluyang makalapit, nagdilim uli ang aking paningin. Sa aking muling pagmulat, wala na ang mga espiritu.
Seth was carrying Elise. Blood was gushing down from her nose and ears. Seth was panicking as he tried to wake her up. Hawak hawak pa rin ni Elise ang binder nya na punong puno ng sulat, but it was written in greek.
I don't understand Latin.
We rushed Elise in the school clinic, andun pa rin yung school nurse and unlike any other clinics, ours doesn't have any medicines or fist aids. Tanging isang malaking kama lang.
"Hindi ka na dapat bumalik!" sigaw ng school nurse habang tarantang inalalayan si Elise. There was rage in her eyes as she looked at me. Ngayon ko lang nakita 'tong nurse na to pero parang ang tindi ng galit nya sa akin.
"Anong tinitingin tingin mo dyan? Do you think because you're a daughter of Hades I'd be nice to you?" Nagulat ako sa sinabi ng school nurse. I almost dropped Elise' binder, I can see Seth's playful smug as he smiled.
"Ciara, this is Hecate, the goddess of magic... which happens to be Elise' mom"
Geyfyra Academy is not a normal school. I never expected Hecate to be her mom. I thought she was a mortal like us. BUT HOW CAN SHE HAVE BOTH GODLY PARENTS... parents who happen to care for her. Hindi na uli ako nagsalita. The colors of the room went blue, red and yellow. Natangal na rin yung mist na nakapabalot sa clinic and I can clearly see now stacks of potions and one big pot. Of course, this is Hecate's sanctuary, what do I expect.
Hinila ako patayo ni seth at hinigit ako papalabas.
"We still need to go there" sabi nya sa akin. He reached for Elise' binder at tinignan doon yung drinawing kanina ni Elise nung lunch.
"P'ano si elise?" I can see the pain in his eyes... it's the worse feeling for a keeper. To see your master get hurt.
