HUNTER

When Shayla finished talking, her brothers decided that they wanted to be left alone, they blame her for everything, so it's just me, Shayla, Jay and Mrs. Homes in the living room.

I can feel through the bond that she is incredibly heartbroken, sad, angry, frustrated. I want to know what's going on in her head too but it's like she's got me blocked out of her mind.

"Shayla..." I say to get her attention, she turns towards me and her face looks like she is stressed, defeated and upset.

"Yea " she responds, her throat sounds dry.

"Jay  could you get her something" Jay nods and leaves.

" Shayla have you been taking something that I'm not aware of?" I question as Jay come back and hands the water to her.

She takes two gulps and puts the water down. " Why?"

"I'm not able to mind link you"

" Well I was only taking birth control ....but I missed today's pill " she says the last part low and I see Mrs. Homes eyes perk up.

"Anything else?" And she shakes her head.

I don't know what it could be.

"Oh no dear... You must stay on schedule" I hear Mrs. Homes say.

"I have some in my basement, why don't you come with me?" Mrs. Homes reaches for Shayla.

"But mom that is the spell room" Jay includes.

"Yea I keep it down there" she rushes and latches into Shayla's arm.

Mark: this isn't right

Yea it isn't

SHAYLA

"She doesn't need any" Hunter says as he grabs onto my other arm.

What's wrong with him?

"Hunter, it's alright, she's just offering so I don't .....have a baby right because of what we did ' earlier '" I whispered the last part in his ear. Hunter shakes his head.

" If you have birth control then you go get it and bring it here " Hunter says and he tugs on my arm

"Well I have a variety and she needs to pick and see if the pill pack resembles hers" and Mrs. Homes tugs my arm back.

Hunter grabs my entire body and shoves Mrs. Homes away.

Mrs. Homes was getting ready to come back and grab me but Hunter growls her as I watch his eyes turn black.

Jay grabs his mother's forearm, " mom what are you doing?"

Mrs. Homes eyes turn that stormy grey, " sorry baby but I have something to do" she says to Jay. She left her hand at Jay, "vistallo Mano" and he blast back across the room.

Hunter opens the front door but I am pull back out of his arms with a strong force  as my body is in mid-air.

Mrs. Homes says the same spell as she did to Jay and Hunter's body is thrown out of the house, " maren outo" she says as the door is shut and locked.

I am dropped to the floor, she grabs me by my braids and pulls me towards the basement. Then I see my all my brothers running towards me, yelling my name and telling Mrs. Homes to stop. They must have come because of the noise.

Mrs. Homes turns around holds her hand up towards my brothers.

"No! Please! Don't hurt them, I'll come with you without a fight. Please!"

" You'll be a good girl?" She asks me and I nod my head.

She keeps her hand held up at my brothers, " Casta tangen nix " she says and a cage appears around them .

"Get up and follow me" the witch (Mrs. Homes)  Yanks at my hair. I follow instructions and get up to follow her.

"No Shayla you can't go" my oldest brother bangs his hands on the metal bars. My younger brothers follow in pursuit as they jingle and bang on the metal too.

"Stay with Hunter and the pack, he will protect you!" I shout back and their replies were getting unheard because we were now to far away.

We continued to the basement as she opened a door and we went down the stairs into the basement where there were books, jars of human and animal parts on the shelves, stands, staffs, clothes.

The witch walked over to bag and grabbed a marble looking ball, walked to the other side of the room grab a container of pills and shoved one in my hand.

"Swallow one " she commands.

"This isn't a birth control pills is it?"

These look just like the control pills I originally take

"No, it's to keep that dog from mind linking you, now swallow one or I will force you"

I swallow one pill. She comes close to me and puts a  wooden bracelet on my wrist.

I hear growling in the distance and I guess it's Hunter's wolf.

"Ugh damn dog... " the witch scoffs, she grabs my forearm and the marble looking ball from earlier, she crushes in her hand.  Our bodies began to turn into smoke.

From the corner of my eye I see a black , blue-eyed wolf charge towards us and then everything is black.......
